He'd have had a hoot that's for sure.

Does mean I might be ready to looksee for a friend to curl up in the space my GSD left in my life, though the tears are coming as I type so who knows. Maybe I'll just wait, see what comes around that needs a slightly bonkers but very loved home.

Very disappointing from the owner, this pup has lost the chance at a fantastic home. An older rescue sounds better for her lifestyle so she shouldn't need the funds I'd hope

Hopefully there's the right person with a better bank account than me just around the corner.

About half of my critturs have come from slightly different starts in life. They've all bar one slotted right in and worked out grand. So, I'll wait, see what Life sends me.

I gave Pep away and had spent a lot of money on her. If you fail a dog ( by overhorsing yourself or whatever) you owe it to them to make them happy.

I’m really disappointed to read that the owner wants to sell him. My rescue labs have all had wonderful breeding. I’ve not paid a thing for two of them (because the owners knew the home was most important) and the third was half price from a rescue, he was really hyper and they knew that we had a small holding and had patience. Breeding means nothing if it’s not been well handled/trained.

I'm sorry to hear that MrsM ? I can kind-of understand the OAP owner wanting to secure their own future financially too. I'm not saying its what I would do or that it isn't dissapointing on a few different levels but hopefully it's not at the dogs long term detriment.

Aye. He is trained and biddable, and a lovely nice natured lad, he's just full of young Lab bounce and exuberance and that's what's proving too much for the owner. The daughter is very much the outdoor type and knows this place well enough if the owner changes her mind.

I've not heard anything and have decided to stay shtum. If perchance he comes this way then happy days but I doubt very much it'll happen. If I hear he's gone elsewhere I'll certainly let y'all know ?
