I thought it was a very good evening and thought nearly all the tests were very watchable. I loved Lottie's test and it was IMO by far the best, I've watched it loads of times since WEG and he is one special horse, ridden beautifully. His movement is extravagant but he's so well balanced it just looks natural and unforced. He also has energy without tension, just love him. I really liked Gareth's test and Ingrid's too. I was so pleased to see Caroline do such a lovely test, I thought it was the best I've seen her do. Like others on here I know the horse pretty well and have often watched Matt schooling him, he's a real sweetie but he did look a bit "hot" last night, still keen although no longer young. That's my boy!

That Friesan did a bit of an oddly structured test. But some of his movements looked amazing

The comments about Friesans have become more refined and more riding type is true. I was told about 20 years ago that the Friesan stud book had used Saddlebred stallions to make them finer and more saddle types.
