Yeah thats the key for me too, although I will always stay away from alfalfa.Really interesting, thank youI have found the key to mine was loads and loads of hay or grass and keeping the feed simple.
I agree he can have as much hay as he wants, I dont care
he is not the least bit fat so I think we have a good work balance going too. Ps we have used nearly 1.5 bales of hay since late September
