Just heard today that the Parelli show is coming to the UK to do a show at the N.E.C next year, what are peoples thoughts on this and if your going what are you hoping to see and gain from this show?

On Sunday at HOYS the stand was empty.....apart from the paralites trying to hawk their golden carrot sticks.
I'm hoping against hope that people have sat up and taken notice of this pair and some of their methods and are finally voting with their feet....heres hoping eh?

One thing is for sure. They may be back in the UK next year but they won't be getting a penny of my money. Just as they never have to date either.

I can't decide if they are exceedingly brave or exceedingly foolish to come back here. Certainly won't get a penny of mine either. Horse abusers.

They've been here for Savvy Conferences for about the last 10 years, they are always very well attended by their students. Why wouldn't they return? I'm sure it will go as well as it always does.

empty seats and tumble weed blowing about :D

Of course it will be. Most of the people going are always current students, new people tend to arrive because they've been taken by friends who are already Parelli students. You've only got to read the responses to the recent criticism of Parelli to realise that it is very much business as usual.

I have never and would never spend money on watching those pair!

Parelli, O goodness me, please dont get me started again!

All I hope is that he does not do another foolish thing like he did with Catwalk. I am tempted to go and take my video camera and record the whole thing, therefore if it does go wrong and I have a decent video showing what happened, then there wont be as much speculation as with this year.

Any one who wants to come with and throw eggs, rotten tomatoes, cabbages, etc then come along too. :D

LMAO @ Lochy.
Eggs and tumbleweed.
Should we have a point scoring system do you think? 1 point if you hit Pat, 2 for Linda, 3 if you get her in the eye, and double the above for moving targets?

I would think it will be a very tame love in with alot of fannying about and self congratulation there won't be one
horse there thats not totaly parelliised to keep the faithfull on message and impress the numpties...

There seem to be a larger percentage of horse owners posting here who do not like the parelli method.

Does anybody have an idea of how many horse owners are in the UK and how many actually follow parelli?

They seem to capture the market when it comes to complete newbies in the equine world but I don't know of many people with experience and knowledge turning to their ways.

Has anybody a lesson from one of their many instructors that have newly appeared out there? (even out of curiosity!)

Your probably right, but just in case he decides he needs to 'flex his muscles' like he did before...... it might be helpful.

joeanne what happens if you throw and egg at Pat and Linda gets the splatter?? does that count as a double hit?? Or if the egg is a double yolker? surely thats worth extra points too.

Am reading this with interest, there is a small yard down from me where a woman has been terrorising a horse with a rope and stikc for months, every time we ride past. What's gooing on? Why not just ride the thing?

Because that would require some good, old fashioned HORSEMANSHIP...something the Parelli lot lack...

I won't be going. IMO all Parelli is is common horse sense anyway. I bet I could do anything they do with my boy and neither of us have ever done any Parelli training.
