Pretty much my story! Mother didn't like Ned either to begin with, but he decided he loved her and she couldn't help but return the favour. I wouldn't have said no to a fancy black arab either ;P
 
Could I jump in here and make a suggestion?

OP, why not let us have a pic and we can decide for ourselves if he's as ugly as you say.

Personally, there's never been an ugly Dunn in my mind ( but am a bit biased on this one) so I'm sure I'll think he's gorgeous whatever he looks like.

I love a dun, too, although I have seen an ugly one. Looked like a Fjord crossed with a Przewalski - but his owner thought he was the most beautiful thing in the world!
 
JFTD can't be all that crazy .... Like me she's a highland fan, which makes us both a bit nuts I guess. But we're getting off the point here. Would love to see this horse, just out of curiosity.....

That would be me, I definitely wasn't going on about proper English, I was remarking that THERE WERE SOME WORDS MISSING THAT WERE REQUIRED IN THE SENTENCE.

Can I see a pic of butt-ugly neddy so I can see what he looks like? I'm imagining a scraggy palomino with a scrawny neck like the one I used to ride at a riding school when I was a kid lol
