My leg size is irrelevant. In fact, I am off to start a thread asking for patronising suggestions as to what people with irregular sized limbs can do with horses. (actually just for the record i'm v tall!)
I will now retaliate by putting my reasoning across in a logical & mature way. YOU ARE SMELLY!

You are going about this all the wrong way! And I should know I am a fence expert I took my fence to a show and got placed 1st! Anyway you need to get a professional out to check that the posts are all straight. If they are then you need the vet to x-ray them as they may have cracked! I can't believe you are spending your time on here asking these questions when you could be on the phone to your vet! Instead you leave your poor fence to suffer!

My elderly fence post is not selling, so I am now giving away to a new home, he is a little week and skinny with cracks, and at least 15 years old, but I am sure that you could feed him up and do something with him. Quite frankly i cant be bothered, and I dont really care where he goes, so come on folks,

FREE TO GOOD HOME . elderly fence post, white with touches of green, very genuine, never sick or sorry, mothers dream, first to see will take.

Tonitot- many world class fences can be bought cheap at auctions without you requiring any experience. I suggest you buy one immediately, you can always work out later if you have the time & money for one. Think its also good to get a young fence, you can learn together!
Laurenbay- some owners are not made of money. Just cos they can't afford basic care there is no need to make them feel like bad owners.

Oh I dont want an old one, that will be too much work and I'm lazy! I want one that can do it all already and requires little effort from me to do anything, that way I can just stand there looking pretty while my fence does all the work :)

If she can't afford the upkeep of the fence, then she shouldn't have bought one! Completly unfair to the poor fence.

Owning a fence is a big responsibility, it is time consuming and expensive. She needs to see to the fence twice a day! she also needs to be able to varnish it and clean it!

OP, perhaps your fence is a little bit on the cold side? I mean it is sunny and 16 degrees outside, so it should atleast have 2 HW combos on! Drape them over and see if your fence perks up.

Tonitot, that is an unacceptable attitude. Experienced owners such as Mulled wine rely upon people such as yourself to be gullible enough to take on there cast offs, do get with the program. If you buy a good one you will be called 'all the fence & no sense'

Laurenbay how many times? Varnish is cruel!! And more fool anyone who buys from an auction - you have no idea whether the fences have been wormed. Woodworm is rife at these places!

I've had no luck with fences. My first fence, a lovely little white electric was leant to a friend (or so I thought!) and I haven't seen it since. :( I then got a nice PAR fence, but I couldn't keep condition on it, even though I gave it lots of linseed oil and it sadly succumbed to the elements.

To be honest, I've had enough of all this bad luck, why would anyone want to own a flimsy fence anyway? They're nothing but trouble, hard to keep looking nice and the electric ones tend to be so feeble they fall over in a mild breeze!

I'm going to get a wall, solid and dependable and easier to sit on. :)

Laurenbay- in my 843 years of fence owning, all mine manage perfectly well being checked by passing dog walkers every few days, so it must be fine. Provided you go on Facebook & put cute pics up I would have thought this proves she loves the fence. What an elitist attitude you have!

Op may I just ask....
Is your fence by any chance a Cob fence?
If so, what on earth made you buy it in the first place.
I wouldn't worry about it so much, its not a real fence anyway. All cob fences belong in fencinh schools. Perhaps you should contact you local one and offer to donate it.
That way you will be able to go out and get a proper TB fence. Much more classy. :D

I've just seen a lovely brick wall on irishwalls.com, they've got some fency club types on there too. Anyone know anything about them?

Have you seen some of the poor little fences on Firey Fencing? They're so saggy and splintered, they must have been put up far too early. Bet none of them are properly tanalised either. :(

My fence is the naughtiest fence I have ever come accross, only I can handle and control it! Therefore this proves that I am a very experienced Fence handler and know what I am talking about!!

I just thought the fence was a bit fat. Plus a little fencelet will be dead cute won't it?? But what do I feed a fencelet? And how do I know when its due?

It'll get really saggy then fall over. When you go to put it up, there will be a little post next to it. Don't put it on the mains though! It'll charge up too quick and risk burning out too soon. Leave it close to the parent fence for a while before you move it.

Posie- feed the fencelet woodstain. You will not know when its due, as I assume the novelty will wear off soon so on your fortnightly visit you will just find it. Also do not seek advice from experienced constructors, cannot emphasise enough how fun it is to learn together.

Ah cool, so its not much work at all then, phew. Does it need its own nails or anything or is it born with them? How long will it grow to?
