...we stopped thinking we had the right to assess other people's horse management, and find it wanting. 
Where do people get off thinking they have the definitive opinion as to what is or isn't acceptable for other people to do with their animals? These views are often based on less than full information, and in fact come from idiots.
Maybe, if you are a vet, a farrier, or an instructor, or a dentist - then your opinions are valid.
If you are just a smart-*rse bitchy owner, then keep your views to yourself or if you are really concerned, call BHS welfare or WHW.
I hate interfering busybodies spoiling horse owners' enjoyment.
