I find it really frustrating that women have to fight to get HRT when clearly the impacts of perimenopause are huge on so many of us. I have been dismissed at my GP surgery too but thankfully have now found out that there are two female GPs there who are the "right" age so am finally making some progress.
Out of curiosity, is the risk of HRT any greater than the risk of taking the combined pill, which many women do for several years without any concern?
I also think there's something wrong when doctors are so reluctant to out HRT yet they will prescribe anti-depressants like they're Smarties!
