sad advert preying on my mind

Earlier today, I left another message. Still no answer.
Perhaps the vendor, having been informed about this thread, is concerned that a grim-faced mob, with pitchforks and WHW in tow, is going to descend.
Could anyone who has a good idea where she is please dm me?
Many thanks.

Maybe they only taking calls? Some ppl don’t reply to texts
Or maybe someone who knows where they are have reported them

I hope they get back to you or the mare has gone to a good home. I think people have been justifiable in being concerned about the mares condition.

Another telephone call to the number. No answer, phone goes to voice mail. Left a message.
If she was sold, I would have thought that the seller would have informed Dragon Driving.
Phone call to the shed builder. No answer. Left a message.
I've discovered, roughly, where she is/was. 22 miles from me in Rochester.

Really strange!

Listen I had a thought and it paid off. She is advertised on free adds too. Maybe if ONE person enquires on free adds she may respond, now that so many have tried on Dragon driving she may be sus , its worth a try

Maybe say you are desperate for a companion due to a livery leaving or something like that.

dunno why it says shield square but it is the link

My girl 22 this year and I’m the same I hate when people blame a horses age for their poor management 🙄
My old boy (16hh) is 28, rising 29, and is a complete Loon. He's weight-taped every week and is fed very plain to keep him from being a fatty. He's retired, due to my chronic ill-health, but if I improve, I'll be back on him, one finger under the neck-strap!

I checked that out. The location seems to have changed by quite a few miles.
The whole thing seems extremely suspicious.

That area of the country is pretty thick with dodgy dealing, isn't it? I'm guessing she was taken in part ex against something else and they're just trying to get some money back for her. To be blunt, this is where we need ethical and humane horse abattoirs. If she was worth money for meat her future would probably have been assured with a quick painless end weeks ago.

In her poor condition, I don't think the owner would have made much money from her.

And this is the problem with selling a horse of this age ( which we don't know their circumstances, they may financially not have an option), if you make it too cheap or free to good home you risk some dodgy person buying it and buting it up to sell on with a pack of lies, put a price on it to deter those people and no one is willing to pay it as the horse isn't worth it. I agree in principle that pts saves a horse from an uncertain future but honestly if it was my beloved pet who I know came good again with spring grass and was healthy in all other ways I'm not sure I could make that call. Not saying that's the case with this poor mare but unfortunately in these times of increasing costs it is a reality too many people are facing and the rescue centres are too full to help.

OK so I appreciate that there would be all sorts of potential problems with this idea, which would have to be thought though carefully, but perhaps we could set up a sort of rescue fund which anyone on here could chip into for say £10 a month to assist in funding genuine rescue cases where someone has the faculties, experience and time to take on something like this poor old girl (and she won't he the last sad case unfortunately) and help to cover their costs (receipts required) so that they can do a really good thing without being seriously out of pocket? It seems there are quite a few of us who have space for a spare but, totally understandably, are anxious about the extra expense that taking on something that may require some special meds/care. There would have to be a careful vetting procedure obviously to ensure that we weren't funding a serial horse flipper but seeing how so many people on here were willing to contribute to help fund the care of this particular case has made me think.
I know it's a daft idea with horrific pitfalls but still?

Yes. It's (I think) that of her partner, the creator of sheds etc.
Google didn't bring any more up but searching for the number on DD itself shows same seller advertising 2 donkeys and a Standy.
(All the adverts say private numbers will be ignored.)
You could ask where the cute donkey is...
