So this is Sadie

We went out for our first tiny hack in hand today, been meaning to do it for weeks but people normally go on a Sunday when I'm working!

She didn't flick an ear at cars, even ones going too fast, 4x4s, vans (2), vans with noisy trailers or the cyclist. She spooked once at a rock. She was right up the bum of the little Saint of a pony in front though and nearly had my arm out of its socket pulling for grass but for a first time out on the road she was absolutely super and everyone was very impressed with her (except the pony in front). Next time I will hopefully done a little bit more with her with the bit in and she can go out in a bridle to try and save my shoulders!

Uh-oh more Sadie spam! Talented friend did some more impulse portraiture. I advise everyone to make friends with a photographer and be very nice to them.

By way of a non-photo update we are learning to self-bridle after I did a thing I knew was stupid and pushed her to accept the bit too quickly. We are accepting and learning from our mistakes. And taking advice from different people.

It is lush and very soft, highly recommend.

It is a contentious beard, some people say shave it to "tidy her up" and others don't want me to touch it's magnificence. (The beard is precious and is going nowhere.)

Believe it or not looking at the weather this last week she had her waterproof fly sheet on for a few days as I spotted suspected midges before all the storms hit and it has made her SO SHINY. Her mane looked like a mane for a while too and not a bristle brush, that was nice while it lasted.
 
She's so gorgeous and fuzzy. Nice to have a photographer on tap...I really love the January zoomies video (I also have a chunk who can turn on a sixpence), she is having so much fun but does look a bit disappointed to whizzing around without you joining in.

I missed out on filming some truly wild bucks and farts last night because I do make a point of joining in zoomies now ? went to my riding lesson after absolutely filthy.

I'm going to put this one behind a spoiler and hope I'm not breaking any privacy rules here but I did get sent a video of her lovely sister in her new home and they are so similar it's eerie! She can't quite get the height in her heels as she is SUPPOSED to be unsound but she is doing her best! I got more than a little choked up seeing her so happy too ?

Was peer pressured into it by the 16yo who's face is emoji'd, bless her. She got a classic Sadie head-whack when she held her too close but otherwise pony was foot perfect. I knew she would be but I still got myself in a huge flap about actually putting bum in saddle.

Oh, she also stopped to squirt at her cousin
