Moreton Morrell has just abandoned their event on 03/05/23. Only a 30% refund is being given for entries. The comments on Facebook are all people saying they can see the appeal of UA now...
In contrast Thoresby who cancelled on the day for dome classes are refunding 80% plus start fees.

Kingston Maurwood College in Dorset to start running BE in 2024! Interesting choice as quite close to Bovington but nice to have another local event to go to..

Novice national sections at Chatsworth have been pulled because of weather/ground and sheer volume of horses

This is really good news, it has the potential to be a lovely venue. Let’s hope they put it in the right place in the calendar….

I should be at Llany this Saturday, I don't know if I'll be happier if they run or abandon at the moment. Our ground isn't ideal and I doubt theirs will be better. I'm towards the end so if it's a very chewed up course I may retire.
I'm also still waiting (like many) on a refund from abandonment 4 weeks ago. I don't object to the wait really, the money was gone the day I entered. However, I think it's a bit bad faith that start fees aren't immediately returned, and I think with the way things are BE needs to consider doing that as lots of people are quite fed up with their waits

Howick has just gone and that’s next week. Not a surprise

Llany posted yesterday that their going is great as they missed most of the rain earlier in the week. Fingers crossed the forecasts are meant to be better for the second half of the week so hopefully they may run and if they've been really really lucky they may well have good ground.

Disappointed Howick gone as was going to be our first 100 but not surprised.
I live quite close and the rain locally has been horrendous!
What a difference to this time last year.

I think it will be on, because I've got an entry and my horsebox decided to have problems on the way home from Aston - so sod's law means it will run because I can't get there 🤦

Always the way isn't it @RachelFerd
Hope you can get your box sorted soon. My week has involved sorting 4 new tyres for the tow car - which isn't mine, but Charlie's owner broke her foot/ankle a couple of weeks ago and is off her feet and the car had a slow puncture which we couldn't repair as it was also on the wear indicators for new tyres. So the fact I've sorted it may mean they don't run 🤦‍♀️
