Goooooooood morning!

Well I am off to the stables in a minute, farrier today. Then I'm off to Ascot in the box to pick up a friend's polo pony.

He's a friend from Uni I used to play polo with, we lost contact (last spoke to him over a year ago) but then last week we got back in contact and it turns out he's now living 10 minutes away! Have helped him find grazing for his girl so today we're picking her up, on the understanding that if she kicks the hell out of my box she's being dumped in a field beside the M4

Morning all,

Hope everyone is well! Feeling a wee bit tired today - but nevermind. I'm planning on doing some groundwork later to try and get my boy confident over poles... looks like i'll be going over one for quite a while, and then in and out of 2 eventually - arghhhh!! I hope he gets his confidence jumping because he is so athletically built - he should have no problems!!

I feel a bit mean though I turned him out in his heavyweight last night as his LW and MW were sodden through

Morning peeps got nothing special on except work, and realized last night that with snoops confirmed in foal i will not have nothing to ride for the best part of 20 months or so. Having thought this my friends n/f pony needs some work so not all bad, but will miss riding my snoops. : (

Morning! I'm sitting at home waiting for a delivery, however there was a fire round the corner from my flat last night and all the roads are closed

I hope no-one was hurt, it was a shop so I don't think there would have been anyone there. On the plus side, there are lots of firemen and policemen wandering round outside.

Heading to work once the delivery has confirmed they can't get here (!). Had a fun lesson last night though so should keep my equi-addiction at bay for a couple of days!

Great to hear that Snoop is in foal! I'm sure that seeing the baby will make the sacrifice worth it

Hi everyone

Today I feel like I have been hit by a truck in my sleep and can hardly lift myself out of bed, have been nursing a sore throat and lurgy symptoms for a few days. Also with the few last days I think the stress has taken a toll and shut my body down completely. So I have contacted Uni and told them I won't be in today and I shall spend the day curled up under a warm duvet watching day time TV.
Horses were rugged up last night and turned out snugly bugly so I shall drag myself up there midday to check on them, and hubby is going to poo pick, feed, hay water and re set rugs at tea time.
It's a grey miserable wet day here today in Norfolk, looking out of the window makes me feel even colder. So I shall return to my warm quilt on the sofa and fight for space as the dogs will probably join me again.

Morning everyone, it's ok here, cold but the sun is getting out so taken Belle's boots off for today, will put them back on tonight. The fields are starting to get wet overnight so think I'm going to start bringing her in overnight soon.

Had the dentist yesterday who said Belle had really good teeth for her age, but when she took her hand out her mouth there was a bit of blood there, is that normal?

And going to ring new farrier today, see if he can come out in the next couple of weeks.

SnoppySue, I'm so pleased you're going to have a foal! Definitely need piccies, and lots of them!

Oh dear Skippy, I've heard of better ways to get out of lessons have you been leaving drawing pins in his bed? Hope it's nothing serious.
Think the bus that hit SB made its way to me after her. couldn't get to sleep until 2.30 so 4 1/2 hours sleep, when I like my full 8. Worrying about Arch going back to vet today I think.

Morning all,

It tipped it down for most of the night so didn't get much sleep, was to busy feeling sorry for the clipped beasties still being out in it. I think they will need to start coming in soon before they drop to much weight.

I was suppose to be having a lesson later but I had to cancel which is a shame

It might not be much fun but a break from riding will probably do you the world of good, and then you can get back into the saddle and be right as rain.
 
Oooh Idlp111 I had that problem - my pelvis was out as were my shoulders! So much pain after but what a wonderful feeling it is to be straight again! Get better soon - and a break will definitely do you the world of good!

Ouch that sounds painful!

What a shame about this weekend, I know how you feel, I hate missing things. I'm supposed to be going to a training day on sunday but not sure how she'll travel as her boyfriend has left anf we haven't travelled with anyone else. She can be a bit funny but there'll be about 4 other horses so should be ok. Still a bit nervous, might pull out at the last minute!
 
dmn vets ive phoned them 2/3 times now about vet claim form that i need back for insurance and even reminded vet still havnt received it gave it to them a month ago

he seems fine still in small paddock on own and in at night.
has been ridden a few times and seemed ok so fingers crossed

ldlp111 - she's very nervous and sometimes won't load, sometimes does but dances and sweats until she's unloaded. And if that happens she doesn't load easily to come home. The YO organises transport for anyone who is wanting to go to shows/training days etc but we've always used another livery's wagon and she travelled really well with her boyfriend, but now he's gone and I've never travelled her in the yard wagon, but like I say there's 4/5 other horses so with plenty company hopefully she'll settle. Tough if she doesn't, can't stop and unload her halfway there! I'm a bit worried too that she'll load and get there fine, but won't load to come home.

Oh the worries! I bet if I did it it would all be fine!
