Terrible names

Inspired by the name change thread, what are the worst names you've come across for horses?

I think Ludo's is pretty terrible for a spotty horse - Ithon Patch - but the worst I think I ever owned was Vulgaeus Majistralis - try entering a competition with that one and see what the commentator makes of it!

My Connie is Peatapat which is horrible. Previous owner called her Pat the pony?. I call her Piper. I also had one that was Darius on his passport, but he also had a BS passport (which mysteriously went missing) on which his name was Moonlight Silver Spirit. I called him Ted.

My first horse was out of a mare called G Whiz and by a stallion called Mr. Magoo. Ouch.

Dale the Clydesdale and Arab the Arab x were pretty bad. Same stable.

I did mean it as a compliment but a lot of people don't appreciate names with a bit of a joke in them!!

I once named a foal Hermione which a lot of people thought was awful for a connemara (it is) but in my defence I was about 11.

Sold her as a 3 yo I think and I often wonder if her name was kept.

My Appy is called Pinky. Passport name Euphoria. Out of a mare called Irish Twinkle who was known as Purdy. All terrible names!!!

and it takes me a moment to realise that I'm thinking of the wrong Ludo.

I think it's a fabulous name. My friend suggested it and I loved it immediately. It's Ithon Patch, when he's spotty not patchy, that I think is dreadful, though I believe one of the 101 Dalmations was called Patch. Your Ludo at least has a lovely look in his eyes ?

Pinky would work for a lot of appys I've met when they get wet.

A friend of mine had a point to pointer called Carving Knife at the same time as I had one called Lethal Weapon. People gave us a wide berth out qualifying as they were both sharp ?

My horse is called 'Poy' presumably because his sire is 'Sepoy'... Uninspiring and unimaginative... ?

Obviously working in racing you see quite a lot of weird names. One that is racing now and I truly don't understand just how or why they were allowed the name is beyond me - Pakie's Dream.

I can only hope the owner of called Pakie, and preferably pronounced paykey, otherwise, where were their brains when they let that one through?

My first pony was passported as Razor Ruddock! named after an Irish footballer I think, but still a pretty terrible name for a pony!

I once knew a fellow livery who had two horses. A coloured cob called Cobby and a grey warmblood gelding called Greyboy ... really put some thought into those !!!

Not Tex which I could probably go with but just Tx!
