Further to my real recreation of 'darth vader riding my little pony' plans, what peculiar aspirations do you have?

After the horsey porn thread the other night I dread to think what direction this thread us going to go in   :D :D

Oi, none of that  puts me in mind of The Hippopotamus , if that's the right book I remember...

I am more thinking steampunking up the pony / caol ila wants to ride hers in a horse onesie etc :p

I was "accused" of potentially thinking about riding my horses in fancy dress for a charity ride. Not that I have a problem with that per se. But the fancy dress that was suggested that I "might" have been thinking of was Lady Godiva and Rocky horror...

I only mentioned that I had a proposal (to a friend) if she was up for it... (she knows me too well.... :-/ )

I want to decorate my grey as a boy racer car for fancy dress, with fluffy dice & stuff like turbo written on her in paint. And cardboard alloys on boots. And do a fun dressage to music using gangnam style.
I want to ride daughters pony desperately, she looks mega fun, but even if I was 5 stone & half dead, I'd need rollerskates so its never going to happen.

(Sorry, Shadeyoak, didn"t I see mention of your horse being poorly? Hope he's on the mend....)

I'm not sure about this babygro for horses thing; just the thought of getting them on and off is enough to put me off.

OK my deranged thing: get my horses into the swimming pool on a hot day.
My husband has all manner of unreasonable objections, something to do with structure, engineering, cracks etc....

Once won fancy dress, we went as batman and robin, the horse was batman complete with cape and mask and the batman symbol thing pinned to the front of his cape. Poor horse oddly didn't seem too thrilled by the whole event.

I would also like to roller blade/ski/slide in some fashion behind the the shetland and take her out on an adventure round the village.
Also it always tempts me to take her shopping and tie her up in the trolley bay and put a parking disc on her, would also be quite amusing to pretend she was a guide pony and take her in the shop.... think it must be her size that makes me think of these things because i never get the urge to park the others in a trolley bay.

Also my other pony is called Buzz and I often do the Buzz light year... to infinity and beyondddddddd thing complete with arm in the air, Its no wonder i get odd looks from people walking past.

Shadeyoak, I have one of those! But at last I've realised the reason for neon onesies for horses, with sparkles on too.... my grey hog, having been kept in today as it was raining and revolting all day, made a break for it when I went in to top up beds etc. He skidded off to the darkest corner of the furthest paddock and in the rain and mist we just couldn't find him. Hubby eventually went out with the great "pointing stick" (God forbid the lunge whip should go near their delicate bodies) and a strong torch. The swine was hiding behind a bush!

Neon green onesies with LED lights for the night-time Houdinis I think.

This made me spit biscuit crumbs at my PC :D:D:D

Ive always wanted to be able to take my horseys to bed and cuddle up to them all night (in a purely platonic way of course  **still have weird random website thread in my head....yuck**) :o

Also how cool would it be to train your horse to be an "assistance" horse, like the Dogs for the Disabled where they help you at cash machines and get the washing out of the machine etc lol :D:rolleyes:

Glitter. I want to cover him in gold glitter - glitter on his hoofs and coat, little golden glittery stars through his mane and tail, swirly glittery patterns up and down his legs, gold glittery halter etc etc etc...
I'm also desperate for someone to allow him to carry them to their wedding!

I once saw a magazine article about people with assistance horses. They used Falabellas and mini Shetlands.

There was a television programme about that I saw recently; there was a blind American woman who had a guide pony, she worked in a call centre and it was just standing by her desk. It also seemed to live in her house.

Every time I hear a James Bond theme tune I have the urge to gallop about on a horse to said theme tune shooting things. Not people obv, just shooting for the hell of shooting, pnewow, pnewow!!! :D

There must be something going on with this forum, my iPad wanted to change things, to thongs...

Oh the choices!!

Lol.

I was prone to doing fun rides in neon outfits, fairy wings and tutus for a short spell.....with pony pray painted in neon and glitter too.

I have a secret 'mission' desire when hacking too...like something happening where it involves having to find the nearest wall or hedge to jump as a getaway!

Mature. Really. I know.

I've always fancied riding my horse to work, leaving her in the car park and come home time whistling out the window for her (a la zorro) jumping on her back and galloping off home to the yard :D

That is THE dodgiest thread title I have ever seen...

When I bought my soon-to-be-grey horse... I want to dress up as a princess with one of those pointy hats and do princessy things like have bells on my fingers and my toes... and also, I want a bard playing on a flute wherever I go... oh and the horse has to have a floaty mane and tail and a pretty head...

I once put leg warmers on a horse. Well about 10 of us did! For a drill ride at college. They were all neon colours! My horse had bright yellow and bright orange.

I always imagine going out cantering everywhere and jumping anything in front of me.

And also pretending to be a cowboy, rounding up cows, using a lasso, barrel racing, that kind of thing.

Not that exciting but my horse is a 16.2 TB so not really a cow pony!

Love this thread!
Remember when we had all that snow mid January? Well this accidentally happened...

I can honestly say I've never had so much fun and Tigs appeared to enjoy racing the dogs across the snow too! Made a change from the cart anyway!

As soon as I find a time for my friend who owns the onesie to come to the barn, it will happen. And then, to be sure that I've not only lost the respect of the yard owners and fellow liveries but also the internet horsey community, I'll post the pics here. :D

I've also fancied playing my Irish bagpipes while riding my horse. Could be interesting.

At uni, we'd get enough snow that you could get your horse to pull you in a sled around the outdoor arena. Which I did.

Because I'm geeky and a little bit sad, I always wanted to be a Nazgul. If you covered up her two white socks on her back feet and the star on her forehead, she'd be a good Nazgul horse.

Since seeing it done, I quite fancy doing that scene in tomb raider 2 where Angelina is cantering along sidesaddle firing a pump action shot gun at targets.

cant see why not as I have done archery sidesaddle (although I can't remember how successful that was)

What is a nazgul?

Also, I've always fancied doing those circus tricks on a cantering horse like you see in the err... circus.

I've always fancied re-enacting one of those films based on medieval times, running across 'endless. unfenced terrain :D Not that big areas like that exist anymore now we have boundary fences lol!
