That sounds positive . Will they be able to tube feed her or is that going to affect the inflamed part ?
I am not sure MurphysMinder. That is something I am going to ask when they phone again in the morning.

The vet was giving me so much information in one go it was quite hard to take everything in, especially as I had Mr J snr. and jnr. both miming questions to ask. Trying to work out what I was being told and holding their thumbs up at me and grinning like clowns when I was giving them a positive thumbs up back!😄

The hospital are being fantastic at updating every few hours but my brain is fried and I have had little sleep since last Wednesday. Tomorrow I have a more sensible list of questions to ask and hopefully will engage a few brain cells when talking to them.😊

They might not tube feed as Ruby was similar and had drips as her stomach wasn't emptying so it came up however it went down. They offered wet smelly stuff in tiny amounts a couple of times per hour along with the " hurry up and empty" drugs. It took days before she ate any kind of sensible amount. I'm really hoping Jessie will be the same and do really well Eventually x

Is she at VSI? They are wonderful at updates, answering questions and going over everything again if you haven't been able to take it all in (very understandable!)

At Summer Hill? Yes she is, and I cannot fault them.

What a place and the equipment is just mind boggling. I had to travel half way around Ireland for myself for many of the diagnostics Jessie is getting!

Next time we need emergency care for ourselves we would be better served to go there!😂

Yes, that's them. I do a lot of work with them and they cover all my emergency/out of hour care. She's in very good hands.

Fingers crossed she continues to improve and the vets can get on top of whatever is the cause.

Also, have to say love the photo of her on the sofa. She is absolutely gorgeous. The kindest face

Make sure you take time for yourself as well, she needs you fit and well to look after her when shes home.

Just a quick update for those of you kind enough to keep the vibes coming. She has been off the paracetamol for 36 hours now and her temperature has been normal for 48 hours. :) She is still only eating little bits of soft food that is hand fed to her, but they are doing that all through the day and night so she is getting a fair amount. The vet doesn't want to let her home until they have the results of the biopsies back (Should be here by tomorrow morning latest.), and that she will eat a relatively normal sized meal on her own. She is drinking and has passed urine but so far no bowel movement, but then she has hardly anything there to pass through poor thing.

We are really, really missing her now. We are allowed to visit her if we want, but we all agree that would be more distressing for her (and us!) if we then go away and leave her again. Jem is now very mopey and crying on and off mostly at night but hopefully tomorrow morning's update will be all positive it won't be too long now until we can bring her home.
