It wouldn't be a trip out with me if something didn't happen...this time my box was completely dead. Guy that lives at the yard very kindly charged my battery (after trying to jump start plus trying the fast charge/jump start machine) but it was having none of it. Three hours later the battery was still not fully charged but we tried it and yay it started - but there was an interior light left on in the horse area!! I was adamant that I hadn't left a light on as I never use them so I think someone might have done it last week when we were all out. Note to self, check all lights are off if you want to actually use your box!!

My friend stepped in and we went to the arena hire in her trailer (which Buzz now informs me he wants as he walked straight up the ramp - he takes a few minutes to get on the box!) but as we were faffing so much with my box it wasn't as long as I should have had but still got some decent jumping in. He was quite tired so didn't do too much. I'm really struggling with getting him fit at the moment as our hacking is pretty much non-existent and the school is often full of lessons but i'm trying to get out at the weekend for longer to help. Once the ground dries up I can start going further down the currently boggy fields plus be able to ride in our fields but I just can't at the moment and it's really frustrating!

My friend got some photos of us jumping and once she sends them over i'll share as I haven't had any for ages!

Oh no chippers, box issues are very annoying. I feel your pain re. the hacking. It's so difficult this time of year

Exactly MP, he flew over the skinny brush second time and the wooden box.

And jumped the white house even though he wouldn't walk closer than 6ft to it before the bell rang...

Lovely weekend reports, photos and videos. We negotiated our dressage tests and some bits were quite nice(!)

Lovely judge used a wide range of marks which matched our range in performance with both. Reilee was underwhelmed, Phoenix was raring to go (love her :))...Phoenix used to be underwhelmed by dressage only outings so hoping Reilee goes through the same arc....
