What is your favourite crossbreeds

i LOVE my Thorougbred x Clydesdale she got the best of both worlds. Nimble and sensible.
Can't say i have ever met a Id x Tb that i have liked.
We put our late Arab to a friends Shire mare four times and got four of the most gorgeous small hunters. Even did well in the dressage and Workers

was always a ID x TB girl but then i bought a belgian WB x TB who is AB FAB!!!!!!! then i bought a DWB x TB who is turning out to be as good as him so i think i am in the WB x TB camp now:D:D

Anglo arab!! As I have one, Tamarillo is an Anglo arab, not a PBA!

Tamarillo' Dam Mellita was an Anglo but his sire was registered as a PBA, hence Tamarillo is registered as PBA I think.

He won as a youngster in showing classes as a Part Bred, and even took a championship I believe.

Am I the only one who was taught that an AA was a TB x arab (50% arab and 50% TB)? Yet these days, the word anglo arab seems to be used to describe anything with a smidge of arab blood in it.

AFAIA, and please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, Tamarillo is not even 50% arab and has a lot of warmblood in him, which makes him a PBA, not an AA.

I always understood it that an anglo arab is thoroughbred x arabian in any capacity as long a said horse has a minimum 12.5% arabian.

Tamarillo is somewhere around the 25% + mark I believe, but he isn't an AA as his sire was registered as a PBA.

Anything half-assed will do me :D

An Anglo Arab cannot have any other blood, other than TB and Arab. Apparently there is a big debate going on right now, as on the continent it seems the rules are more relaxed, and the UK breeders who strive for quality performance AA's are pushing for AA's to become a breed with its own stud book etc. controlled in the UK for this reason. I was reading this on the Arabian forum, so may have got a few details off kilter, (there were a LOT of details!!) but yes, TB x Arab + Anglo Arab. With any other blood it becomes a PBA.

My personal choice would be Arab x Welsh C/D, but also have a Connie x TB, haven't really sussed her out yet.

AA's are my favourite crossbreed. :D I've had two, the first, a bay gelding, was by a TB stallion and out of an arab mare. The second, my chestnut mare, is out of a TB mare and by an arab stallion.

Some photos (any excuse and I'll get the pics out! ;) )

I have a welsh x arab. He's great fun and turns his hoof to anything really, but on a bad day when the stubbornness / strength of the welsh comes out mixed in with his silly arab head - he can be a nightmare! (But not for long :) )

Mine is 1/2 connemara, 1/4 andalusian, 1/4 lusitano. He looks stunning, has the iberian head and wavy hair, intelligence and sensitivity but can be very opinionated! He has the luso sharpness which has caused a few problems. He has the connemara cheekiness, greediness, toughness and jumping ability. He is a very good doer however and it's tricky to keep the weight off.
But altogether a lovely crossbreed with a wonderful nature, I would certainly have another though maybe a straight andy x connie would be easier to handle. He is a nice introduction to owning an Iberian as he is 'watered down' somewhat, and if I ever did get another horse (he has a home for life) I would fancy a full andalusian.

AA x WB - although I'm biased...mind you he has sensitive skinned and prone to self harming..actually a bit of a pain the arse really, better off with a native cross. But he's very pretty!

I like most tb x natives, preferably with 3/4 tb. You get the tb agility with the pony brain and hardiness.
I've had a tb x highland. a tb x welsh and current horse is tb x fell and they've all been fab - although current boy is too clever for his own good sometimes!
