Ah now that's interesting as I don't find asda stuff washes very well! My favourites are M&Co and Next. Don't like M&S stuff at all - goes like grey dishcloths!! Jasper Conran have some lovely designs too :)
Stencil face - yep you got it! It was one of my favourites but sadly he's already outgrown it. Can't believe how quickly he's growing :(
Quirky - thank you! I'm so pleased with her; I've done nothing different other than change her yard - we were never able to turn out at the old place as it...
Haha I thought the cob comment was just a slip up - we all do it! She may be hairy but she's not THAT hairy, bless her.
She definitely needs to be shod all round. I've had her a long, long time and, aside from being a farrier's daughter, I know from experience that her feet do not stand up...
She's on Happy Hoof anyway but knowing her as I do, riding on the roads barefoot would crucify her. It's quite stony up on the Downs too once we get up there! Think I'd be making a rod for my own back...plus I'd like to do some fun rides and xc this year so she'll need shoes for that. Just gonna...
Thanks everyone so far. Definitely think I'd prefer a traditional sheet - best get ebaying!! Saw two riders a couple of fields away from the road the other day and the one wearing orange was much more eye catching than yellow...hmmm.
Stencilface - it would be great but her feet just wouldn't...
Many people won't even remember me but I'll say hi to those who do! I've been out of the saddle since July whilst pregnant with my little boy...he's now two months old, and even though I had a C section and was told to wait until 4 months (4 bleedin' months?!?) I got back on my gorgeous girl...
I will also add that I carried on looking after Ellie until the day I went into hospital (at 41 weeks) - the only time I struggled and needed help mucking out was in the 2 weeks straight after the birth due to my op :)
I was in a very similar position to you, OP :) I'd always said I would ride right through my pregnancy but in the end, self preservation kicked in and I stopped riding at 16 weeks. My horse had the rest of the year off - she's 19, and having owned her since she was. 5 she'd never had a long...
I have a GPA Titium hat that I absolutely adore. It is now 12/13 years old, used only very lightly (mainly for competition) and has NEVER been in a fall or had any impact.
My question is, do I need to replace it based on age alone? I've just had a baby so all my self-preservation instincts...
This is not in direct response to any single person, but...
Having read through a lot of the replies here, all I can say is that I now understand why there are so many badly behaved adult horses out there! If people are reticent to discipline or lay down boundaries with a 2 and a half year...
Interesting thread...
I am 5'2 and have fluctuated around the 13 stone mark for about five years now (I know, clinically obese by the BMI scale, see sig photos for reference!)
My mare is 15.2, and not what I would consider to be of 'heavy' build. Interestingly though, a few years ago I went on...
Goodness knows; we actually rang to give information about what we had seen (as we now know that the accident happened literally seconds after we drove past). The police said they were very interested in what we had to say, but never rang back...
