diagnosis of navicular heading our way??

As much as I agree with going barefoot, I don't think that its realistic to say that all horses will be sound within weeks....it took mine 5 months to be totally sound (went to Rockley, correct diet etc). I think that many people fail going barefoot as they don't see results quickly and throw...

    Treating navicular

My mare was diagnosed with navicular last year (TB with 'poor' feet), went barefoot against vet/farrier advice, doing fab, jumping etc. Please, please consider it....contact me if you want a blow by blow account :) best of luck x

    Sarcoid or not ? *Pics*

Sarcoid....it looks pretty aggressive, you might be lucky enough that it'll pop out all by itself (seen this happen to this type of sarcoid a good few times). Keep the flies off it and just wait a little...if no joy, vets and Liverpool cream.x

Navicular/soft tissue changes and bar shoes - what are your thoughts/experiences?

It's very sad, isn't it? I've always had my horses shod and certainly would have considered myself very skeptical when i first went barefoot but I'll never shoe another horse (I have 2 youngsters that will benefit from this :) ). It is good news though that more and more folks are willing to...

Navicular/soft tissue changes and bar shoes - what are your thoughts/experiences?

Not had time to read the whole thread but a big thumbs up for barefoot (especially as most authorities on heart bars/pads/tildren etc will tell you that you may only get a couple of sounds years as this route is not a fix just a bandaid).....my mare (TB) was diagnosed with navicular last...

Sarc-Ex or NAF D-tox for sarcoids, is this a Sarcoid?

Totally agree.....from all the research I did ( extensive!) any results from supplements were probably coincidental and the sarcoid had run its course anyway. You can spend a fortune on supplements that aren't covered by insurance whereas vet/Liverpool is. Please don't mess with a sarcoid in...

Barefoot Navicular TB 8 months in......

...she happily walks over stoney tracks, the only time she feels a stone is if she stands on one on the road.

Barefoot Navicular TB 8 months in......

Thanks for your reply....good points :). There's possibly a small amount of grass but most of its compacted earth as we live in Devon, so rains pretty much all the time and gets nice and churned up regularly :). You might have a point with the change or surface rather than her being uneven, it...

Barefoot Navicular TB 8 months in......

Please all the usual barefoot experts comment....I'm not sensitive ;) Millie has been barefoot for 8 months after a barefoot diagnosis in Sept 2012 (x ray, no MRI). She went to Rockley for a couple of months then continued at home. I have installed a pasture paradise type track, she is on...

Head shaking any experiences outcomes welcome

Hi, first thing I'd try is Net Relief http://www.equilibriumproducts.com/head_shaking/net_reliefreg_muzzle_net/ If it works it's fab (as it does with my horse) but have known others that have tried it to no effect. Worth a try though as easiest/cheapest option. x SORRY SCRAP THAT...Just...
