This is really interesting, thanks! Iv just responded to another comment suggesting it could be lack of movement related. Really hope so!
I go through stages of worrying and then giving up worrying! Back in the worrying phase at the moment ?
Hi, yes very helpful thank you! It could definitely be relevant, as Charlie’s got a bit better when he was turned out after box rest, assuming because he was moving around more. But now it’s back maybe he just needs a little more exercise! Unfortunately I can’t ride him, but will start walking...
Thank you, I have been reading about EMS and it’s definitely a possibility so I will mention it to our vet.
No he isn’t muzzled..He hasn’t been on good grazing that’s the thing, he is now but this started in the winter when he was in at night/out in the day. Continued whilst he was on box rest...
Hi everyone, hoping for some knowledge or experience please..
My 13yr old gelding has a swollen sheath on his off side. It’s been swollen on and off (mainly on) since Christmas. The vet has been out twice to not much avail. It’s been cleaned, small bean removed. He’s had a course of Danilon...
Thanks everyone for your replies. Claret09 that is the dream, but sometimes it doesn't quite go to plan!
Is it okay to feed the instant calmer on top of the daily calmer? I can't find any info on this online, other than NAF saying Instant Magic can be fed on top of Magic, however that isn't the...
Hello all,
I have a very stressy gelding who I currently feed 25g of Equine Answers 'Calma' to daily.
Although it has not been a 'miracle cure' I think it has helped take the edge off, and this years spring grass nightmare has been significantly less traumatic than previous years.
In new...
Hi all,
I'm moving just north of Aberdeen as of January, and was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction towards an online horse community? Facebook page/website/forum...don't mind! If such a thing exists.
Where I am now we have a very strong website and FB page, selling...
Love my Champion skull....they seem one of the only brands that fit my massive head! :)
Would like a smart velvet but still yet to find one that doesn't give me a migraine. So will stick to skull cap and silk for all disciplines....ho hum! ;)
Think it depends on how your horse settles too, if my horses seem happy and settled I will settle much quicker than if they seem uneasy.
I moved to my yard a year ago, after 6 years at previous yard. Took me about 2 months to fully settle and feel at home. If you still feel uncomforatble after...
When i worked on a yard I had 15 horses to muck out on various beddings; pellets/sawdust took me 5 minutes, straw more towards 15 minutes.
30 haylage nets and 6 waters as most had automatic drinkers, and sweep whole yard.
Started at 7am, turning out usually took me around an hour, as the...
I would say LW, although showing is definitely not my forte!
There is no harm in entering him, for experience if nothing else. If you get a nice judge they will always give you pointers too which can come in handy :)
He is stunning, good luck in whatever you do with him :)
Not a ridiculous post at all OP, it is interesting to hear opinions of others and get a general idea, although final decisions would obviously depend on the horse it's self.
What is ridiculous is putting two HW's on when it is 6 degrees.
