spooking to the extreme/no concentration. any suggestions?

Def ccc! i had my 7yo warmblood on various magnesium calmers for best part of 2yrs and now since using the mag free ccc i am sure magnesium used to make him worse! - which apparently it does on 30% of horses! Honestly it is fab and they are really helpful :) good luck

Any of you lot use a calmer?

Ask your vets for ACP, thats what i used after 6months box rest. However i now have a kwpn youngster and have tried magic, magnitude with no results. A lot of horses are worse on magnesium. So i tried Equifeasts cool, calm and collected (mag free) - based on calcium instead - and he was a...

    Cross country troubles... :(

Thanks for your reply :) He's Westphalian x TB. Why do you say female rather than male? Just for more consistency for the horse? (I'm 5'8 and weigh 11 +1/2 stone) so i'm not dainty by any means ;) lol Yes, i'm not sure if i would be too bored just showjumping... lol I'm *hoping* that...

    Cross country troubles... :(

I have a lovely 7yo dutch sports horse who has been very sharp until the past year. I now have him settled and rideable. He always jumps well SJ (he was brought from a SJ dealer so this is his ‘comfort’ phase) and his dressage is fair. Across country he used to be very sharp and run out...

Young Horse above my ability - WWYD?

Keep on going :) I have been in exactly the same situation, got a stunning KWPN who is sharp as hell! I was adivsed by other people that i should get rid, but i liked him too much - so i got a new instructor and an air jacket and stuck it out! And now he's just turned 7 and he's a dream...

    Dumb BE95 question...

Good morning all! I have a question about my dressage test for Tweseldown on Sat… I think the walk section (points 12 & 13) is a bit ambiguous… Does it mean: Medium Walk at K up to E and then half circle to B (still in medium) and THEN free walk down F? Or Medium Walk at K...

    Full loan issues...

Thank you for your helpful replies. I think i will pop back in a bit and have a better look at him and have a look at his weight/condition under his rug. I also think i need to be sure that he is definitely living out before i complain, which i can confirm when i pop back in a bit. I think...
