I'm thinking about taking my Fell Pony to a local (fairly small) agricultural show next month (1st horse I've ever shown). Is it just what the judge asks you and wants to see? Any other tips?!

I'm thinking of trying one instead of a single jointed snaffle, specifically a full cheek, but how does it sit in the mouth? I've always thought the link sat flat against the tongue, but thinking about it aren't they at a 90 degree angle?

Thanks for your replies! I try not to have her going round in circles too much like a school as although I've never ridden her in one, her previous owner told me she hated it, so I try to keep to round trips. I think her 'thing' about gates is trying to get back home, as she can be very lazy.
