I would also retire or even PTS. I had one with AF that we retired and he was on digoxin. After a month or so he went downhill rapidly and with hindsight I wish I had pts at the time he had dropped.
Only just in from the longest agility day ever! But am so chuffed. Our first outdoor show after a complete break from shows and a chilled training approach. Pebs clear in agility for a placed 2nd and also a placed 2nd in the jumping. Long freezing cold day but am just so happy she was happy 😊
At the risk of sounding controversial make sure OP that she is happy being retired. One of my hunters didn't do retired he was miserable so was PTS. You are not duty bound to offer a life of assumed idyllic retirement in grassy fields in a herd. It doesn't work for all, so don't feel you "have"...
Agree 100% with this. Not everything is fixable sadly. Tbh I would PTS but that's just me. If retirement is an affordable option then fair enough. You can't blame yourself and have given her every chance.
If you don't assert yourself you will be walked all over..sorry but been there done that. You have a life too!
If you're poorly or stressed you are no use to them anyway, or possibly at work either.
Remember this.....saying no to others is saying yes to yourself!
Miniature Schnauzers are lovely although I am biased 😉 happy to walk for hours or be a couch potato. They are happy little souls and great fun, but they are definitely vocal 😂
I would also PTS. I agree knacker man or huntsman would be best bet assuming they can get near enough and hold him. However they are professionals and are the best. They will also remove the carcass so all in one job.
Just get it done before someone gets hurt. You are absolutely doing the right...
