I bought a Weatherbeeta stable rug for my girl (very narrow in the chest)l, it was HUGE!. Normally she is 6'3'' but i had to change it to a 6'. It was still too big but because of the hassle the first time with the shop assistant and the fact it was very cold I decided to keep it. It ended...
A couple of weeks ago I was talking to a chap who mentioned that his wife had done it (she is an endurance rider). He told me that it was alot of road work and that it was hard coping with the cyclists and runners together.
How long ago this was, I've no idea so the route will probably be...
My mare absolutely loves her treat ball. She gets so excited when she hears me filling it up, and it keeps her occupied for an hour or so (she is very adept at emptying it!). She is very food orientated though. My other horse was not interesed in it at all.
Perhaps try to borrow one first...
I have a gorgeous Arab gelding who I have owned now for 5 years. He was quite low mileage when I decided to buy him because he was not gelded/backed untill he was about 10 and also his owner had lost interest, so he had not done alot. Initially he was a bit 'special' and it also didn't help...
Mine is a Summit Series HyVent Alpha? I don't really know the proper name sorry as it once belonged to the other half, who bought it for a holiday to Iceland. One day I just borrowed it during a cold snap and never gave it back! And of course once smelling of horse, he didn't want it back...
I live in my north face coat and body warmer, worth every penny, and not a patch on the other coats i have had in the past. Light, easy to wash and very warm.
Can't live without a cheapo hairbrush, brilliant for removing dried mud, loose hair and doing manes and tails and comfortable to use because of the handle. Also bargindacious at around £1.50 from Wilko's.
I use this by far the most along with a body brush and metal curry comb. I have lots of...
I saw this horse advertised on another site last year(think it was Shropshire Equestrian) when I was looking for a new horse. The asking price was much higher then, about 1K more. If I remember correctly she was sold to the current owner as a confidence giver but turned out to be totally...
Yes, it's a dark red colour but my horse is registered with the Nederlands Rijpaarden en Ponystamboek and for type it says Hulpboek Rijpaard Register B.
I'd have a search on-line on the appropriate website.
Magic Magpie, that is very interesting, thanks for sharing and I can sympathise, as I have had experience with a bad traveller.
I think I may have a look on some VW owners forums and see if other people have had the same thing happening towing different things.
I was beginng to think I was the only one as I have yet to see a Touareg towing anything other than a caravan or boat!
It is fantastic at towing and yes it's a bit thirsty (it is a big car though). I too have heared a banging noise on occasion coming from the tow hitch, but I'm guessing it's...
Hello, I'm new here and after browsing for a few months (I'm addicted now) I thought I should make the effort and join, especially when I could not contain myself any longer after reading a request for ideas for soaking hay (I know, i don't get out much, it must be 5 weeks of not being able to...
Hi, I'm new so I hope you don't mind me posting, but i thought I would share this tip.
A friend has told me a fantastic way to soak a whole bale of hay using a wheelie bin.
Get a wheelie bin (I've just bought one from a DIY store for about £25.00) and fit a tap (like the ones on a water...
