I can sympathise as it is rubbish timing and you must be disappointed. I hope that your horse is better soon and that you make it to your next planned outing.
As for good timing - well I renewed my BD membership and horse registration at the start of December. We had lots of plans to this...
I believe Petplan and KBIS are both under-written by Allianz. In which case I'd look into them a bit further. I am with Scottish Equestrian, who are also under-written by Allianz. I put in a claim a month ago for a large vets bill for my horses broken leg and they are being hopeless. I don't...
Abs sounds lovely Alwaysbroke.
My one in a million is the pony I have now. He is 14.2hh full of attitude. I bought him when he was a 5 year old, and he was a horror. He must have tried every evasion under the sun. I came so close to selling him so many times as he was such a little *****...
That is good news. Mine was still lame in walk on turns 9 days after injury when the fracture was found (and probably still would be lame on turns if he was allowed out of his box).
Ollie is very handsome and I am glad the first x-rays showed no problems. I don't want to be the voice of doom but if he is not significantly improved by his next vet visit you may want to consider repeating the x-rays or sending him for a bone scan.
My pone was kicked on 7th Dec. Weight...
I have the Heiniger Progress, seen here: http://www.farmcareuk.com/shop/product/medium-duty/heiniger-progress-horse-clipper
I think they are great, they are lightweight and easy to use. I've not used another set of clippers so can't comment on noise and vibration relative to others, but I...
I saw 2 riders out today wearing high viz, riding along a track with a yellowing hedge behind them. One was wearing yellow, the other pink. The yellow was the easiest to spot.
Rubbish - not everyone spends every minute of every day on the internet! The reason "which rug" type posts get numerous replies is that everyone/most people have an opinion of them and can contribute to them. A question about a specific area will never get replies from absolutely everyone and...
I wish I could find part livery at £60 per week!
My livery costs don't reduce in summer when my horse lives out, but I wouldn't expect them to. The maintainence required to make sure fields have grass in all summer and are in a safe condition costs money too.
I like Fenning. It may be bleak but competitions are always well-run and the new owners are much friendlier than the owners of certain other venues in this area.
Rules on dress can be found on http://www.britishdressage.co.uk/uploads/File/Equipment%20and%20Dress%20Rules.pdf
Gloves do not have to be white - but a pale colour is strongly preferred.
Besides black and navy jackets you can also wear tweed.
You can also wear cream/beige breeches instead...
Andrew Nicholson wears glasses for XC.
I always ride in my glasses. I don't get on with contact lenses, and I have tinted glasses to help prevent migraines. Without them I probably wouldn't be able to spend as long as I'd like outside in bright sunlight.
My last pair of glasses even...
