I totally agree. You work a horse at home so that when you ride them uphill into a 'competition frame' they can maintain the softness and swing created in the depper frame.
Something tells me people posting here have got confused somewhat! Wether a horse is up or down hill is not determined by wether its head/poll is held down and in or alowed to rise above the vertical, but rather how the power created from the hindleg is transfered through the body to the contact...
I think if a horse has won 2 or more pre-novices then you have to compete open as well, not sure wether this is the case at intro as well.

i think lincoln only have novice and intermediate

It used to be at weston park back in the day as well i believe.
i went this year to watch some friends and it lacked the atmosphere their was at sansaw, but they did do an amzing job to fit everything in!!
