    Recommend Livery in Oxford

Hi there, i'm at university in Oxford (Brookes, not THE Oxford) as well, and i'd recommend searching for yards around Weatley, or Kiddlington areas, and the bus links are quite good and their seem to be lots of horses around there. It also might be worth searching for facebook pages of...

Ideas for sending a lazy pony forwards

Someone might have said this already, sorry I haven't read every page..but what do your sharers do with him and how do they ride and deal with the lazyness? Because if your trying to school him to come off the leg, it simply wont work if they are not giving him the same message. He needs...

    Loaning questions

The BHS contract is not watertight - it is an example contract, and will not stand up in court. Obviously it's better than nothing, the loanee's might not realise it won't stand up in court, so hopefully they will abide by it none the wiser. It's more like a way of having the rules written down...

    Riding with a hip piercing

Oh dear, I only clean mine about once a month, if that!:S And my surface piercing was a plastic bent bar, apparently they are much better than metal bent or straight bars for healing. Obviously mine didnt heal that well though, but I think that was my fault.

    Riding with a hip piercing

Its probably not a dermal anchor, but an actual bar with ball at each end. I hope its not a metal one, it should be plastic and slightly bent. It wont last, I had one about an inch under my belly button for a month or so, they just dont settle. Now I have two ugly dots under my belly button.

    Riding with radio/music

Does anyone? (Out loud) Just interested, a few people at the yard do. I dont think I could school with music, I need to focus! Also, apparently horses can hear much much better than we can, so surely it would upset them?

How many different horses do you ride?

At the moment, 4, two share horses - one allrounder and a dressage horse, one who I have started jumping once a week for my jumping fix, and one who i'm having some lessons on. If he wasnt lame, I would also be schooling a friends horse once weekly. I was riding two horses at one girls farm, but...

    Anyone 'classical'?

Just wondering if there are many people on here who would consider themselves classical riders, competing or not (apparently if you are truly classical, its not about competing ;)). Do you train with classical trainers? Do you compete? Do you jump much? Can I see some pictures? Have you always...
