    Seeking the best dog-proof bin

Thanks for the ideas all (and sorry for the very slow reply). So far the old bin is standing tall and proud, although I put that down to it being to big and mysterious to have yet caught his attention and capacity to knock over. Sadly it sounds like the most viable choice (putting the bin in a...

    Seeking the best dog-proof bin

The title pretty much says it all. We don't have bin in the cupboard so its got to be a free standing bin suitable to hold such delicious interesting things to canines as chicken bones, meat, old socks and whatever the heck that gross thing we found under the couch once was. We've got older...

    Badminton forgotten tickets- any advice/experiences?

Yeps they made it in without issue. Took printouts of the tickets and the confirmation email and receipt and didn't have any real issue proving their validity. So they spent the day there and apparently got cooked (so cooked that all three avoided the sale tents!)

    Badminton forgotten tickets- any advice/experiences?

Thanks both - aye Shay that was my thinking, I hope the receipts might work in their favour if shown; they've also got the card used for the payment, though if there aren't even card readers on site for taking payments (?) then it does sound like they might have to argue the case after the...

    Badminton forgotten tickets- any advice/experiences?

Thanks all - Sussex - yeah the TC is very restrictive and doesn't give much hope, but if its as technical as you and Bouncing say then it sounds like a simple printed version of the tickets should suffice. They are a good distance away and chances are the overnight postal would not only cost...

    Badminton forgotten tickets- any advice/experiences?

So quick question (I've also tried emailing Badminton but as its 8pm chances are no reply will appear for ages); anyone know the policy/approach for if you forget your tickets on the day? My mother and sisters are attending and just arrived at their overnight lodgings and found that they've left...

Higham Point to Point - anyone attend/visit

Thanks CG - yep certainly not looking to every try professional work. An open course at least makes it easier to spot things so hopefully the light will be decent tomorrow. At least it won't be a huge maze of a slog to get around like Poplar Park (even though I missed their first event this year...

Higham Point to Point - anyone attend/visit

Just a quick question as the option of attending this has come up and as I only found out this evening its a bit late to go trying to find an organiser to send emails too. So I was wondering if anyone knows the course well and how accessible it is as a viewer and if they allow photography at the...

does anyone work with horses who is allergic?

Two thoughts 1) Have you been tested to find out what specifically you are allergic too? Knowing is half the battle and if you know its certain elements you might be able to better medicate/avoid/deal with 2) In the past I took antihistamines for hayfever and they never did me much good...

    Rats

This legislation is already in place for buying larger bags of poison; I believe you can still get smaller portions, but some and the larger bags are already behind the certification wall. That said the test is neither that hard nor that expensive so its not too much of a barrier to get hold of...

    My poor instructor :(

The thing is people who snap when in a stressfull situation are not thinking in a rational frame of mind. They've not learned how to calm themselves in a stressful situation. It's a skill like any other and if you don't pick it up on your own its something you have to learn and practice to get...

    My poor instructor :(

People react to stress stimulations differently and at a mature age you've probably reacted in a similar way to stress situations for quite a while now. Riding might be one of those situations where you're keen to do it but where you're still scared/stressed way more than normal. As a result...

    Uploading pics

Leanne here's a manual way that I use that works on most sites/times 1) Right click on the photo to bring up a menu. 2) From the menu the options will vary on your browser. You want to either click the "copy url address" "copy image address" " properties and then copy url from the properties...

    Volunteering with no experience?

Some places will and some won't. You'll just have to ask and see if they are willing to take you on. With volunteering there's a few things to keep in mind; 1) Talk before and establish what you want from them and they want from you. This is essential so that both parties get what they want and...

Photobucket has basically kicked the bucket. Ok it still runs, but they've removed the ability to view photos hosted on there on other sites; unless you pay $400 a year. It's an insane charge designed to get people to leave in droves. Basically its dead. Imgur; flickr; deviant art...
