My WH saddle has suede knee rolls and seat and it's really comfy. You certainly feel quite secure in it. I use it for everyday and it will be used for the show ring when the pony is ready to do ridden classes. He has recently been backed so it's nice to feel secure when we have the odd spook!
I hope he pulls through. It's a scary time.
My boy had peritonitis Christmas/New Year time. He too went very quiet and would not eat or drink and had a very high temperature. He had a peritoneal tap which showed the raised levels indicating peritonitis. He was a very poorly boy but pulled...
I'm on the organising committee for Poplar Park HT and we have no plans to cancel the event in March 2010! We have a few fence judges and things left to organise but most suppliers/judges/officials are all booked.
So please come and support us in March! All profits go to charity.
How is your horse doing?
My boy has had several sinus ops before I had him. I sent him to Newmarket where he had a GA and a cracked tooth removed. Vets were surprised he'd never had it removed before as it was likely to be what had been causing the abcesses in his sinus. He'd had problems for...
My boy had 3 or maybe 4 sinus operations before I had him, both upper and lower sinuses. He didn't have any nasal discharge but i had him looked at by my vets at one point as he wasn't right ,and they took xays which showed a mass in his sinus. He went to Rossdales in Newmarket for yet another...
I hve tried the Global Herbs supercalm, quite literally! It reminded us of curry powder so I tried some and it didn't seem to taste of anything! lol My boy is very stressy in the stable and it has taken the edge off that. He still weaves and box walks but not going mental like he was at times...
Great to hear all these good comments! Keep them coming! lol I'll definitely pass these comments on and raise the points you have made where we can try and improve on things next year. The dressage scores did seem to be slower this year compared to previous years. Not sure why at this point to...
Hi
I'm secretary of the Poplar Park Horse Trials committee. We have a post-event meeting coming up so if anyone has any comments, good or bad, they would like to bring up please let me know!
Cheers!
Well done! Was a lovely day there yesterday.
Re the horse fall in the sj on Sat, it sounds like it had a heart attack and died. It didn't need to be PTS. The rider was OK. I think she may have gone off in the ambulance but didn't go to hospital, just home. very sad day for her.
What about the Derby House own make? Just realised I have some of those somewhere from the days when we had muddy fields. On sandy soil now and not too much mud which is lovely!
My TB normally goes out in the field with nothing on his legs but since he had a McTimmeny treatment which worked on his pelvis he keeps coming in with cuts on the inside of his hind legs. I'm assuming it's now he's using himself slightly differently, although it could be a coincidence on the...
