Thanks folks,
Any advise on feeds, supplements or management ideas muah appreciated. Its so frustrating. He was diagnosed about 4 years ago and for the past 2 years has been really good with only minor blips. This current one which came on about a month ago is so much more severe and has...
Well the fact he's been perky recently sounds promising for you!!
Turn out is a real dilema area for me, he needs it and doesn't seem to be so much affected by spring grass but the wet weather we are getting is more what gives him trouble. But the new grass growth has given me another...
Just wondered if anyone else out there whose horse has EPSM or suffers from tying up, has been struggling recently.
My poor boy after seeming to have his EPSM under control for a few years is really having a bad time at the moment. I'm putting it down to the truly foul weather this winter but...
Sugar free polos, or check out the horse treats and pick out the ones with low sugar levels.
To be honest I don't have a problem but limit the number, I use the feedmark herbilicious treats and he just gets one when put out and one again when i bring him in. If my mum is about I have to get out...
Stopped paying annual membership a year after I got my passports. Didn't provide anything of use to me so seemed a waste of money, shame as it seemed like such a good idea when they first set up.

I don't think we ever stop missing them. But finding another to love really helps. Don't know how I'd have coped with losing old Mr B last year if I didn't have my other boy to hug and snivel with when I felt low.

For you maybe, but we can only speak of our own experiences, however that was not the point of my post.
If you read my post carefully you will see that I stated that ALL insurance companies are being very strict at present and so my advice was to check policy wording carefully to ensure that...
They are all pretty dodgy at the moment I believe. From what I hear from my vets if they can find a way out they will ALL try to avoid paying so if you are swapping just ensure that you read the small print, get them to send you the policy wording and if there is any doubt, ask!!

I cannot believe your run of 'incidents'. Have you thought of just wrapping them all in bubble wrap and locking them in their stables for a few weeks?
Glad to hear Tommy is still fighting on!
Fingers crossed he gets that little miracle you're after.

It is really difficult making a decision like this now based on what you know will happen in the future.
My boy damaged his extensor tendon in his hock and lost all joint stability. Although we could keep him comfortable on box rest and with antiinflammatories I had to accept that if he went...
Poor little bean.
I hope it's ok and you either find or give her/him a home in the morning.
We had a very skinny cat turn up at the yard last year. Gradually got it to eat from us and allow us to pick her up. She put on weight very well and became a real character. One day she had an abscess...
