Thanks for everyone's messages. It just shows how inexperienced I still am. I think it's best I give up loaning for now and go back to just lessons and riding school hacks... Till I improve and gain more experience or I will just end up loosing all my confidence and possibly more.

I have had my Toggi canyons for over two years now and I wear them all the time for everything. Bit of saddle soap and some leather softener every now and again and mine have stayed perfect. Really comfy. I ride in them and even dog walk in them.

Thanks so much for all your comments. I am going to give it ago with lessons on loan horse and have placed an ad for local instructor to come to me. Is it to much to ask the instructor to ride said loan horse! So I can see how he responds to an experienced rider? Had lesson at RS tonight...
