Apparently they don’t list their name or the exact location to protect the dogs in their care.
Ah right, thats OK then. Just confirms to me all I need to know about them.

Had a customer today who said that her vets sent out a letter when the upcoming legislation was announced and she's going to have to muzzle her dog and keep it on the lead, but she said she doesn't need insurance because he's registered with a vet, and... wait for it, because he's not 'pure' XL bully, he's crossed with a pitbull.
I suggested that she should double check (trying to be polite, as I am paid to not offend people)
Maybe because these dogs were not actually pets but animals used to breed and without a market no longer profitableI absolutely don't understand. There isn't actually a ban is there on the ones already in existence? Why are all these dogs now in rescue?
Honestly, if a law came in where all JRT type dogs had to be chipped, insured, neutered and muzzled I would not dream of getting rid of my dog.
Non of the above are impossible and indeed I have had 2 JRT type terriers from rescues where all of the above were applied.
If the owners are now getting twitchy because of the number of attacks, then why in the hell didn't they think about the type of dog they were getting in the beginning.
I'm gobsmacked by the way this is going.
Out of curiosity, which business is that CC? I'm not on Facebook.Be interesting to see if the large UK-wide pet business named on that Facebook page has a corporate view on this interesting plan.....

It's literally there on the screenshot Arklepig posted
Don't all dogs have to have pet passports and proof of rabies vaccination to travel nowadays?
It's not "Ireland", it's Northern Ireland, which is the UK. The dogs are already restricted here (Ireland), but not in NI.I’m very confused by this rescue. What are they rescuing the dogs from? Can they run free and entire and unmuzzled in Ireland? It’s not like the firing squad await in England.
Sorry, I assumed they’d be heading south. Oops blooper! It's not "Ireland", it's Northern Ireland, which is the UK. The dogs are already restricted here (Ireland), but not in NI.

Except they are already restricted here, and we have Dog Wardens.....You can guarantee they'll end up down south as well. There are no checks on dogs crossing the border.
I didn't see this issue popping up on my list of Reasons Why We Need a Government.
re your attachment.I cannot believe what I'm seeing here. Some organisation is crowd funding to bring xl bullys to NI because there's no ban here. Also thought this one particular comment was pretty special/thick. Lost for words and actually raging.

Why should vets have to carry the debt, and go through the admin hassle of claiming it back? It's bad enough that they are having to kill healthy dogsThat’s like saying if you paid £20k for a horse you ought to be able to find £5k for a vet bill up front, which we know isn’t always the case. From my experience there’s a lot of dogs getting sold for a lot less than that. The thing about some people who rely on benefits is that they don’t budget, so they might have bought the dog when they sold something, but doesn’t mean they’d have £1 left by the end of the week.
I’d have liked to see the costs being claimed by the vets directly .
There were two, all dogs siezed, injuries minor, thankfully. They are a problem here too, obviously, but there are far fewer of them about. There was an attack in Waterford this week, unfortunately.
They won't be doing all of the disposals, Council's are putting in resources to destroy. Why should vets have to carry the debt, and go through the admin hassle of claiming it back? It's bad enough that they are having to kill healthy dogs

When you've calmed down and stopped frothing at the mouth, perhaps you could take the time to check your facts?Owning a banned dog is far more complex than that, issues with housing and accessing dog related services and the fact that you cant rehome unless you are dying.
The type actually covers all bull breeds larger than a staffi. Rotties mastiffs boxers will all type as a xl bully. If followed they will disappear as uk breeds within 10 yrs.
The govement have massively messed up on this. They had the opportunity to focus on responsible ownership and breeding with the full support of charities and the dog control coalation. Instead they have lost all there support and opened up a whole new market for breeders. People will look to replace there now banned large bull breeds with something similar but legal. The giant breeds will be crossed with smaller breeds or bred together into new types. Lgds will take off and so will large spitz types. The now illegal bull breeds will be bred with anything long coated or pointy faced to get around the legislation. Xl bully x caucasian shepherd. Presa x akita. Malinois x boerbol. You think big bull breeds are bad watch a lgd deal with a threat.
You might say the answer is to just keep banning (until it gets to your breed and you cant go on holiday with them or get another when you lose them) but its not cause this ban wont work. The pit ban didnt as there are more pits now and loads more deaths from pits than when they legal. Do you want that a similar statistic with xl bullies. It will make the last few years look good tbh.
Every piece of goverment advisor correspondance on this shows the same thing, signifiicant concerns with implemntation and enforcement. Lets say 400000 dogs are types (all bull breeds bigger than a staffi, bull breeds hugely popular in urban area ) will they all be registered by feb, neutered by 2025. How many of them will simply be owned by people who dont bother for whatever reason. Police and local authority rescources are not infinite, in fact they r at record lows. So within 6 months it is an adject failure, more deaths from banned dogs than pre ban essentially. Any alternative then is doomed to failure as everyone will know the laws cant be enforced, So leash muzzle license test ect waste of time. Watch the situation deteriorate rapidly. But hey bullies were banned so thats ok lol.
btw i dont own an xl or any typed dog. I know dogs though and I know the dog world both the legal and illegal sides.
I can't pretend I see this as a bad thing. The type actually covers all bull breeds larger than a staffi. Rotties mastiffs boxers will all type as a xl bully. If followed they will disappear as uk breeds within 10 yrs.
