Surely any responsible parent would not get a dog of this type. Its not a secret that they are banned because of killing people and savaging goodness knows how many. In my view they are not fur babies but a deadly weapon.

Perhaps there should be a new law prohibiting them being in a house with anyone under 18, vulnerable or elderly.

And I know the other law is not working 100% but it has made some people (reluctantly) comply which is better than nothing.

There is mass denial on the fb XL bully groups that these dogs attacking and killing are in fact XL bullies. The general theme is that it's all a big conspiracy theory by the media and the ban came about because of these 'lies'. It beggers belief.
The most recent uproar is about dogs being shot after attacks ('poor babies/dogs are innocent/they never do this with a good owner etc. And when they say babies they are not referring to the poor child victims)
They think tranquilizer darts would be better.
I have just shared the link about the stun gun having no effect. I can't see what difference it makes to a dog who is going to be pts anyway, although obviously bullets flying around in a public place is far from ideal.
