Yesterday was a bit of a worry as his SAA levels had gone through the roof, and his white cell count had gone up further. But this mornings bloods are a huge improvement. his SAA has fallen from 2300 down to 900.
So they have removed his IV now and are going to try and move him onto oral meds.
Vet says hes much more alert, and this morning actually got up when they went into the stable.
If his bloods are going in the right direction again tomorrow he can come home !
Looks like we are winning the battle. I cant wait to get him home.
Thank you all for your support, its really helped xx
Both of them ran onto the box and practically shouted take home home mum
He’s definitely feeling well as he jogged into his stable . He has meds for a few days and I’ve to keep an eye on his neck where he tried to take the catheter out by himself The I can gradually increase turnout over the next few days .
Thank you asking . He’s a lot brighter , he’s got a twinkle in his eyes again. Weirdly when he was really poorly his coat went dull and silver like . Now he’s back to being black with his shine coming back .
He’s still not right behind .he tried to Buck in his stable but couldn’t use his backend enough . But he’s lost the roached look and looks a normal frame again . His temp is now 37.9
The vets are coming back out on Tuesday to check his bloods
I’m just keeping everything crossed he gets completely back to normal soon
Just an hour out tonight , we have a way to go but definitely improving behind . He now has energy and the strength to canter a little bit, oh and a little rear
We had a bit of a nightmare last week . He was doing great , but then developed a lump on his neck temp spiked and he was very quiet .
Vet came out , and he had an infection where the cannular had gone in.
Not great timing as I went into hospital myself on Saturday for my hip replacement. But my daughter and a friend are looking after him. By all accounts he’s bucking when they inject him now . So definitely feeling better !
