Mine had a weird reaction to a flu jab several years ago, struggled to put her head up & down to graze for a few days after & was not right for couple weeks. She looked very sorry for herself. I always get them to jab in the pec in case happens again they at least can eat comfortably
Be careful even in the pec Louis was awful having a jab in his neck once he couldn't hardly move his neck at all dor a few days, so next time vet did it in his pec and it swelled up like a melon and I found him just stood strangely in the field, I struggled to get him to walk it was really scary he was really quite upset about it, it took about 9 months to go down abd he has a patch of grey hair there now.

We can't use several brands of vaccination on him now they have to order a different type for him now.

My German vet always did it in the pec, and my last horse often got a "boob" but seemed not too bothered.

I asked my US vet about it because he gave a jab on each side of the neck, and he said that he had some major swellings on the chest and underbelly from pec jabs, and generally sticks to the neck. His preference I guess.

I was concerned because there's a lot more to vaccinate for in the US, but my young one seemed to do alright.

I think I compromised him too much once. He got jabs, dewormer shortly after, and was still growing in his winter coat/going through coat change, and then got a bit of rain scald on his bum. Probably lowered his immune system and the scald set in. It wasn't terrible though, and was dry weather afterward, so easy to clear up, but rain scald/rot is typically immune system related.

I have just googled this to see what it is, and that show is singlehandedly the creepiest thing I have ever watched!!
I loved watching the Wooden Tops in the 1950’s. My favourite of all the watch with mother programmes. I’m such a saddo I can still tell you what was on each day - or is that just old age, remembering 60 years ago but not what I did this morning?

She's super, but his face at the pig is 🤣! Love it! But you can see how far he's come that he will get relatively close. And speaking of how far he's come...that zoomy around the paddock is just awesome to see. In comparatively so few days thinking about where he was.

I hope you have an amazing break. God knows you must need it.

If all else fails, you could chuck a saddle on that!

Might have to. My very sensible grown up friend whose horse Beau I've been riding all summer gave me a firm kick up the arse that buying a second horse is a really stupid idea haha!

Plus when they are back from Arizona I can treat Beau as my own, so I'll keep my truck and trailer to run him around :) I'm very fond of him and enjoy riding him a lot even though he's not my "type"

Can’t believe you guys are cooing over the bacon that caused me to have a near mental breakdown.

Where’s the loyalty to Bog and I!? 🤣🤣

And yes it’s awesome to see him throw some big bucks, I feel like each one is a screw you I’m not retiring haha!
Did you see the Disney picture LadyG did of Bog and the pig you should so frame that I thought it was brilliant 😆

Hang on - are we talking full size Beltie cows, or a cow-sized Beltie PIG? Please say the latter.

Full size pigs like the big pink ones breed for meat. Awesome animals!

I saw a pen of them for sale at the market I went to with a friend selling sheep that day. I had no idea they existed until then.
