What a good baby. He’d stuffed himself and nearly finished a very full haynet. Put his head down to drink some water mixed with a handful of grain. Didn’t kick off whilst waiting at gas station.

He’s sweated a little but he has a thick coat so not surprised, I’ve opened another window and my clippers are with me as I suspect he will need a bib clip or something when we get to Tucson where it’s 25 degrees during the day.

And yes he’s wearing Boggles HHO head collar, maybe that’s a bit weird but I didn’t want to travel him in a nylon one. Plus it’s too beautiful to not be used I think. IDK!

3.5 hrs until we get to our horse motel and I’m not ashamed to admit to playing the spirit movie soundtrack as we go 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks everyone! I’ll keep you updated!

I know it’s been suggested but I can’t really bear to start a new Atlas thread. But will keep posting in Boggles if people want to hear about him, hopefully he will get more interesting as I start to back him etc.

I post more day to day stuff on insta stories genevieve_isobel if anyone wants to see that load of repetitive rubbish! It is in no way some glitzy glam curated insta just Pepper and ponies and the weather mostly 🤣
I’ve just found you on insta. I am on there too villa.samdoracockerspaniels I’ve requested to follow yourself. X

I must have missed it but how come you're moving? Atlas is gorgeous 😍

I’m not moving full on exactly, I am keeping my Colorado house and barn but I’m just going to go try Arizona. And make no plans other than that!

It will be really nice because I’ll be able to get Atlas going and do plenty of ground work ready to get on him in spring, without the weather/snow/everything being frozen up in the mountains from now until April being an issue. And I love the warmth and the desert.

I love that! So much freedom with getting to move to different places with better weather!

I did request to follow you on insta a while back btw! Would love to see your updates.

Poor boy his legs were trembling when he went to come off the trailer! Such a good boy though. He’s a little screechy as there isn't a horse close enough for his liking but some more are arriving in a bit and he was tucking into his hay between screeches when I left and had drunk.

He had quite the prescence when he was fired up off the trailer and was much admired by everyone! Though i was asked if he was a mustang… ummmm lol. 😆

whaaaat I can’t thin it! It’s not that thick and it lies nice and flat. It’s just not quite level hahaha.

Damn I thought I’d done an ok job this time. One of you needs to get on a plane and come help. Poor Atlas.

Haha I'm tempted lol it should be shorter at the top ...maybe cut him a bridle path that will lose a few inches and make his neck look loads better..

I did cut one!! Not a huge thick one. I’m scared to go too short cos usually when I do that the whole thing then sticks up.

I’m going for the low maintenance, kind of did something with the mane but not really serious about it look 🤣🤣

On the road again! Annoying my trailer side lights decided to stop working. Not much I can do about it but the indicators are fine and I’m not travelling in the dark so should be ok. Only just had the thing serviced!

Poor Atlas gave me an are you serious look when I asked him to step up into the trailer and I could tell he really didn’t want to but he did it anyway because he’s a good boy and wants to please. 7.5 hrs to go.

I feel better knowing my breakdown coverage has hit the 24 hr mark from when I bought it and kicks in today 🤣

Right now is a little bit of London Grammar, I am moping because I just wish it was Bog in the back of the trailer. But I’ll get over it shortly!

No, Pepper is with her “other” family where she will be until Jan. I fly back to Colorado next week then almost straight to Costa Rica, then when I’m back I’ll drive Pepper and my other car out in the new year. I don’t want to drive the truck around all the time plus I need it for the visitors that’ll be in and out the next few months!

Hope you both OK. Have you actually had to cross the border into Mexico. Can you find another stop off and complete the journey tomorrow?

Haha no we didn’t cross the border it just felt like we would, we ended up diverting to a place called Sonoita. This is the gas station shop lol!

All ok we’ve only got another hour he looks really fed up but I think less stress for him just to get there.

I just googled Sonoita, and the first thing I saw on the map was 'lunchbox cannabis dispensary' 🤣

You're seriously inspirational. Doing all of this on your own, moving to America and having the freedom and confidence to just decide to move across to another state with your horse to try something new and have some nicer weather!

Bog kept you grounded and that continuous feeling of normality getting you there so you never felt like you were on your own and now your options are endless.

After everything you've been through, you truly deserve this and I love watching your journey.
