Still looking great. I am no vet and he will need to pass a load of neuro tests Friday but I do at least know the tell tale signs of a horse with front limb ataxia and Iā€™m seeing none. Heā€™s sure footed, agile and soft.

He is enjoying his walks and is full of life and cheeky glints. He looks so impressive and magnificent at the moment haha! Every time I pat his neck he arches it and flicks it like ā€œyeah yeah I know Iā€™m greatā€. This is a new thing haha. Itā€™s really quite funny how much he suddenly seems to think of himself- he is getting some quiet but firm correction whilst not squishing him too much and letting him enjoy feeling well.

He is a truly lovely young horse, I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for two things on Friday- a non neuro horse and a deal to land at work that does my sales quota with 6 months to spare. A group of people are currently sat on the other side of the world deciding my fate on that one. Both would be great please universe šŸ™ˆ

A proper one of these. I wish it had been available when I had to make this for a head banger .

For those liking this post with a laughing emoji, it isn't funny in afraid. This horse had caused himself 3 head fractures at that point by smashing into walls for no known reason when loose in a field or a huge barn. He finally managed to damage himself so badly he was PTS to stop the nerve pain he had caused himself.

And back to the glorious red Atlas, please.

I think as you had quoted Equi which was leading on from a funny nature regarding the inventions "oh lord what is this šŸ¤£", people saw the humour of the contraption and relating to Atlas, not the reasoning behind this horse in particular. No one would have known that but I am sorry to hear what happened. They were my thoughts anyway. I don't think anyone meant anything by it.

I don't think it really matters tbh as there's nothing on here that is confidential, but I work for a very big hospitality/foodservice company. The "bit" I sell is quite specific but also really cool because I work with a huge range of companies, which is very interesting. I actually mostly love my job!

I was going to say this, Bob whispering sweet nothings in his ear

Oh my little Bogster, how I miss him. I've been so distracted with the ups and downs of life lately and shamefully when Atlas was so sick I didn't really have the capacity to miss Bog too. But wow, it accumulates and catches up.

It's just the weirdest circle of events though, I'd never have come to Tucson if what happened hadn't happened and I can't even believe the luck of finding what I found here. I guess the universe does try to balance the scales a little, at times.

Yes, I often think of my previous animals and loved ones who are in the sky have helped guide me to where I am now.

I often feel the big beasty we lost two years ago just hanging out with us when I am at the yard late at night.

Bog is definatly still in charge of his mums life.

I often say that the universe works in some weird and mysterious ways.....

When I lost my beloved loan pony Olliver - I threw in the towel, sold all my gear and swore off horses for good - the heartache was agonising and I honestly didn't want anything to do with horses anymore - it was too painful to think of my lifestyle without him (even now I get teary when a FB memory pops up).

One day I was walking past a field and a little spotty sports pony caught my eye, I got chatting to the lady in the field, started riding said spotty sports pony and the rest was history - said spotty pony has now been in my life for 10 years and I swear my dear loan pony Olliver sent him to me - Baggs has so many characteristics of Olliver and I'd have never walked down that field normally, but something drew me down that lane and to the field where Baggs was, and to this day I swear it was Olliver doing his final act of love for me, and letting me know that it would be ok to love another horse.

When Baggs got ill and I was told the next 24 hours were crucial, I like you, got so wrapped up in the moment that I also didn't have the capacity to miss Olliver - when I knew Baggs was in the clear, everything hit me at once and I remember passing out and waking up in the arms of the vet who joked that he can only treat animals not humans.....

I'm so glad that Atlas is better and back to his cheeky ways - fingers crossed the business deal goes amazingly well for you šŸ„°

Neurologically normal. Sound. Vet said he looks amazing and what a lovely little mover he is.

Retesting for EPM and she did suggest I still X ray the neck to see if thereā€™s something there that he aggravated to cause this but Iā€™m kinda thinking- whatā€™s the point? Either itā€™ll happen again or it wonā€™t.

Oh Atlas you arenā€™t going anywhere ever. šŸ’•
