It's all relevant to the other thread really, the registrar was very unimpressed and it was looking like a write off, then one bridesmaid has the thought to say "I'm gender fluid, you know, its 2018" and there wasn't much she could do then 😎

Mrs J, I find your attitude very sad, I am neither attempting, falling over, nor claiming to be more or less than another individual here or anywhere for that matter. I am simply stating a fact. I am claiming that I have a classical education because I do... if you wish to corroborate the fact, my name is Emily Beech, I attended Torquay Girls Grammar School and studied both the Classics and Latin, I am not sure if they still teach it nowadays but my being born in 1980 would enable you to confirm this fact. Furthermore, I have a 5 years legal background, I am a Paralegal Specialising in Bailiff Law... working within the legal sphere requires a fair knowledge of Latin since many legal terms are derived from the language. Just to be clear, this information is in no way me trying to assert my intellectual status or lack of... simply the basis for you to confirm the fact that I have both an education in Latin and a professional background relating to the understanding of it. The fact that I took a quote from Wiki (not Wicki) is neither here nor there when the context is true and clear. Search any definition of the term and you will find it true.
I simply do not like people being falsely accused, nor do I stand by where that happens when I can support them, my stance in such matters would apply to you as equally as it would apply to JFTD or anyone on this forum. I am actually feeling pretty insulted at your unsubstantiated post calling me 'pretentious' without knowing me and also by your assumption over my intellect and education.
Since I took on the role of overseeing Secret Santa I have always taken extra care on this forum to ensure that my views are level, fair, unbiased and factual. I would never wish to be seen otherwise. I have never had a negative opinion about you Mrs J and I strive to continue to remain unbiased, I would wish to remind you however that in this thread you lashed out at one member, lashed out at a second who tried to mediate, lashed out at me a third member for simply and without confrontation confirmed the seconds correct use of Latin, you then lashed out at a fourth member for a tongue in cheek post... You are never normally so full of confrontation or so quick to hurt or insult people on this forum from my experience. I do hope you can take a step back, I understand that we can not agree with everyone... that is what UI is for, there is always a time and a place for UI but not for being rude and insulting to people who try to mediate/ offer clarity or diffuse a situation by trying to infuse some humour into it. That is entirely inappropriate.

The noseband is way too tight, and Im personally not a fan of the lace BUT I like that she's trying something different and is allowed to do so. Fed of how traditional our sport is, it should be more modern and who cares what people wear? I cant think of very many other sports that are so strict about what is worn especially when its not even practical!!
