How is this vet allowed to conduct themselves like this online?

How very odd 🤭 . Despite my pulling her up on something a few months back she never did block me, she did remove my post though. Now today I am blocked! My fame has obviously run ahead of me, she or more likely one of her minions (probably on here unfortunately) has drawn her attention to my attempts to spread the word on Face Book. Nice to still be able to rattle a few cages when the cause is a good one. 😅

I hear you only have to like something she doesn't agree with, so I think it's fairly easy! I just wonder how she finds the time to scrawl though her followers list and see if they match a 'like' on someone else's post!

I wasn't even a follower, but I liked something someone said that she disagreed with & Kablammo, off I went!

Picking up on a few things others have mentioned and some other things recently...

1. It says alot to me that SV was flabbergasted that George responded to Alfred's manure at the showground. She is so clueless about horse behaviour that she doesn't even realise when she's publicly announcing it very obviously with what she writes!

2. Mabel had an undiagnosed unsoundness in her front feet. She had the angles changed with wedged pads. The lameness became worse. She had her coffin joints (already showing OA before backing, suggesting she was loading to the front feet even without 'work', but that's another train of thought to support her loading off her hind end) medicated and that made no change. She had her shoes taken off (and presumably the wedged pads too) only AFTER an invasive procedure, and lo and behold, returning the foot to its natural orientation made the horse more comfortable. Why is this such a surprise? Would you not now maintain the horse in a barefoot way, encouraging the feet to make gradual improvements so she is better set up for the future? Oh NO, because she 'needs' to compete this year, with shoes.

3. Alfred kicking out at these off-camera ponies... If you watch the previous round, he protests in a similar way at exactly the same point - during the tighter left turn. He looks SO tight in canter when jumping, doesn't stay true in the gait, often shows strong protests, and more so on the left rein. He did a similar thing when she was compressing him around a left turn in a recent Corinne lesson, but used it as good SM material, rather than hearing him. He just looks so uncomfortable, it is so sad. Something is hurting him. He doesn't do it so much when not compressed, but he still shows significant discomfort.

4. Recent video of George jumping at home for first time in a long time. Maybe he does enjoy jumping, but he is also showing clear pain indicators. The two things can co-exist. The next day he was ridden bitless. Because she likes the horses to be able to go bitless. Just a teeny bit suspicious the day after he was very reactive and strong, given that she rarely posts other content of bitless work.

5. Photos of 'long and low' day after jumping - horses mustn't be allowed to go on the forehand as it's detrimental. All but 2 of the photos showed horses clearly on the forehand in trot - their front feet were still on the ground after the corresponding hind foot had left.

SV, I'm afraid no matter how you dress things up, and no matter what your narrative is, those who can see stuff do.

That's what sent me to the naughty step, liking a comment that didn't agree with her

I'd love to know how long her banned list is, and to have the time to go through not only the comments but those whod liked them?

after this CPL debacle the brilliant resource group is closing because someone is reporting their vet contributors to RCVS. Outrageous and I hope this woman is not so weak and mean spirited as to do that.

That's an absolute shame & quite ridiculous. It'll be all her besotted followers, the same as they jumped on the physio. The wrong physio. Not even the right person.

Based on the RCVS doing absolutely nothing about SVs conduct on social media, I very much doubt they’d get involved with this either. If they do, then there’s clearly double standards at play or someone in the RCVS protecting SV.

Arc Equine has "joined the team". Shame 😟
If I was brave enough - which I’m not! I’d be inclined to tag all her sponsors into the CPL awareness FB posts. Most of the sponsors only care about follower numbers - but they might think twice if they were actually tagged into the truth!

Currently just not posting new content, not closing, but the website will be there and I expect the RCVS will do nothing anyway and hopefully the Facebook page will keep going. It's just horrible that knowledgeable contributors have been targeted bc someone is hitting out having been called out 😥

Childish but unsurprising.

So the CPL group has a number of vets on it giving advice etc? And SV is a lone shouty voice preaching to her minions and not allowing debate or opinions differing from her own? Who do these minions think they are helping out reporting other vets, as surely the majority verses one they have already had a number of complaints about will more than likely, if the RCVS do anything about it at all, start joining the dots to maybe her 'opinion' could so with some further research or neck winding in.

She reminds me of that terrifying Strassuer woman.

From what I can tell, a large proportion of her followers have no clue about horses and a fair number are in the USA. I think they follow her because of the controversy. They can get angry jumping to her defence and joining in with the regular pile ons and it brightens their miserable lives. It's really not about animals for a lot of them.

That was one of her best no sh*t sherlock posts, pardon the pun. Pure cringe.

Without meaning to appear crass, I know which of my human family have been to the bathroom, based on the aroma. Just saying. 😂

I must say that as a French woman, I thought I was naturally good at arrogance. I thought my nation had this gift. You can’t know how traumatized I am to discover this master in the matter. 🥳
And his followers, write to world experts that their google searches are not worth her veterinary degree... pure genius! 🤗I am impressed.

Fighting them is a bit like racing with Usain Bolt... you’re not gone that he already arrived…
It will be a challenge to do so well 😭

Welcome to the forum @ Angele. I actually copied your very useful and informative post on FB to my own page to share with people here on the forum and my FB friends, many of them are great cob lovers or owners. I hope you did not mind me doing so, I did not want to share directly from your FB page on here without your permission.

We are all doing our best to highlight this dreadful woman and her controversial and factually incorrect posts to the rest of the horse world. Even if it stops one or two people acting on her awful advice it will have done some good. :)
