Nice Lab - looking for the right home

Met one of my walking friends today and she has just fostered a 9 month old lab and if he improves she may keep him.. he was handed in to rescue as they said they couldn’t give him enough exercise, turns out he was bought as a Christmas present for their 4 kids. My friend says he doesn’t even know how to sit!!!! And didn’t seem to be used to having a lead on. Another puppy bought on a whim and not given the right upbringing. It’s so sad

It is indeed a bugger. At least this lad has been well taught and responding nicely.

@MrsMozart is he still available do you know? Just messaged Mr BallyJ.

Will take some convincing but he is gorgeous and we've decided not to breed from our lab. So will be in the market (more ideally in January)!

I think so. People are interested but she's looking for the right home. I'll pm you.

Mr Bally J is being painfully sensible! So unfortunately not, but we can be a taxi!

We're going to north of Inverness and travelling down to Lincolnshire - happy to stop en-route and deliver his where he needs to be! xx

Sensible is not what we want! We should all 'ave a word with MrBallyJ...

I feel that Fate might be tempting him this way, though it's really not the right time. Hm.

Q. When is the right time to acquire a new dog?

A. When the dog is available!

I speak from experience.

Sorry we can't take him, ours are all bitches. We will be in Scotland next week though:)

But he'd get on grand with the girls... ??

I might meet him again at the weekend, see if there's a click. Will have to persuade D as our animal collection is now somewhat bigger than it used to be ?

I am Queen of ‘it’s not the right time’. 2 weeks after Jake was pts and me and the OH we’re both looking at the same litter. Then with the pups, I think I’d said the day before my OH went to get them that we’d definitely decided against more. ? ?

Y'up! That's how my life tends to go as well ? ?. Only now I live in a tin can. With two Rotties and a JRTx. And two ex-feral kittens who can't go out yet (a testament to all the dogs that they've not taken a bite out of said kitkits after being used as springboards - wouldn't be so bad if the kits kept their claws in!).
