220 sterling. But don't set too much store by my guess. With my late MIL's jools those I thought worthless paste costume jewelry were in fact the real thing and deliciously valuable. Those I thought were at least worth a king's ransom were useless tat!

GS and Rowreach were right and they are lead crystal (paste). I had no idea paste could shine so brilliantly, they are way better than any cubic zirconium I've seen, (and they cut glass, which they shouldn't).

So its value is about what I paid, which with inflation is a fiver, and Rowreach is our big winner! You can have it if you send me your address by PM R, otherwise I'll keep it for posterity.

I know somebody who had an antique stock pin with some sort of precious stone in it. She lost it when she wore it eventing for the first time . I'm all in favour of £2.50 paste pins that don't matter if you lose them!
