    Anyone Used "The Equine Agent"

I was thinking of contacting Ellen Chapman, who advertises as "The Equine Agent". Has anyone used her, especially to sell a horse?

What do we think of this lil guy?! Please.

I know that the breeders want him to go to a good home and not be stressed, but they're taking a big chance that he's not bought by someone with fewer morals who brings him on for a few weeks and then sells him at a big profit.

    Wolf teeth qestion

I'd recommend EDT for extractions - he will ask for a sedation which will have to be given by a vet so you are paying two people so it's up to you really. My 3 year olds turned out to be attached by a thread so I could propably have taken them out myself in the end! Haven't had the vet's bill...

    BE registration question??

I think if you go to website, and then "BE Interactive" you can log in and change details there. Worth a try anyway.

Advice on which make of saddle to choose

Help - we need a saddle that suits a tall rider and a (relatively) small horse. The man is 6'2" and the horse is a 16hh Trakehner mare. The saddle needs to work both for SJ and XC Which saddle do the Mark Todd look-alike event riders use?

    Addington Event Day 8th Feb

Hi Kean - you don't work for Addington do you? Strange coincidence that your first post should be about this and be the only positive one too!!

Someone half 'inched our water trough!

Sorry to hear about your theft. It is true to say that nothing is safe. We had a 30' diameter metal exercise pen stolen one night last year (to make it worse it was on loan from an acquaintance). The thieves drove across several fields cutting the fences as they went and fracturing a water...

    Addington Event Day 8th Feb

Is anyone as cross as me at Addington's failure to cancel tomorrow's Event Day and offer a refund/credit? In the first place, I would question the morality of encouraging people in the South East to turn out on icy roads tomorrow, but then to have the cheek to run it as an indoor jumping event...

    Jodhpurs + Men = ????

www.wholehorse.co.uk (formally "Jods for the boys") has a good range of mens jods and breeches. I'm sure you'll find something to suit you (and your legs)

    Horse Box Legislation - Update

The following may effect some of you with newer chassis horseboxes. Check with your local VOSA branch: "From 1 January 2007 all goods vehicles over 3,500kg gvw fitted with Euro 3 engines and first registered from 1 October 2001 to 31 December 2004 will be required to have a speed limiter...

FYI: New Legislation regarding Tachographs in HGV Horseboxes

I was very surprised to be told by a VOSA testing station yesterday that our HGV box was going to fail its MOT because (amongst other things) the Tachograph was not calibrated and therefore not working. Apparently, legislation has now changed to ensure that even private users have to use the...

    Foot & Mouth - Update??

Our local hunt (Vale of Aylesbury) still don't have any idea when they'll be able to start. I think DEFRA are being very cautious - good thing too - as we're now having to contend with Blue Tongue as well as FMD.
