Hi all,
I have a vets bill which I'd like to claim on my insurance for. However, the horse in question is no longer under my care. At the moment i'm still paying his insurance as he's only just gone to his new owner so I've not cancelled it yet.
My question, can I claim for the bill and...
I totally agree with having something to take my mind off it all, but I worry i'll push Tommy to the bottom of my priority list and he won't get the time he deserves. He's on permanent loan to me, so I can hand him back to the raceyard if I need to as he is their pride and joy. I feel like i've...
I'm sat here, a blubbering mess because my poor head is going round in circles.
Basically I got Tommy, an ex-racer, a month ago - to reschool and event for a couple years before becoming a happy hacker for my mum. He's 14 and absolutely perfect.
Now, OH and I have had a referral through for...
Last raced Oct 09, won alot of money through ten races. Going to reschool him and hopefully embark on a little eventing. He's the most patient, gentle and well mannered horse i've possibly ever come across!! Lead him around the school today and had a little trot (til I practically passed out...
I met a gelding last night, ex racer, very gentle temperament, last raced Oct 09. He's 14. I wonder if he's too old to do a few years eventing with me? I don't want to damage him, and if he can do a few years with me competing he'll retire as a happy hacker for my mum. He is so genuine I feel...
Saddle Fitter, Equine Physio/Back Lady, how about farrier?! Physically demanding but you could perhaps start doing work experience evenings and weekends as of now, shadowing someone?
I think volunteering/shadowing could be a vital necessity to gain physical experience, and as we all know word...
She's with a gelding at the moment. I asked the owner how she is on her own and she's fine apparently (or was) as she was on her own before the gelding came along so i'm hoping she'll revert back to being ok on her own.
As I say the farm is busy, there's plenty to look at, there's no reason...
Yep RI can fit in training, she's just got a few holiday liveries at the moment. She's not got company here, which is another reason I thought it best to bring her straight here, so she doesn't get used to a load of horses with her then is suddenly alone. The farm is very busy, and the paddock...
So I found my new horse, a beautiful young chestnut mare.
The original plan was to pick her up and have her stay at my RI's livery yard for a month to start the training then to move her here where she has her own stable and paddock at the back of the farm and I can continue her training...
