So we shipped them all off to Scotland and now they are killing, or nearly killing people there. Who could ever have forseen that? I hope the people who did it are having a long hard think about what they did
'...she does not currently fit the measurements of an XL bully'She looks a sweet pup but what do they think she is and is it legal to rehome her?

Sounds like the unfortunate creature was being kept in a cage, enough to send any dog stir crazy.....
I presumed that a cage was a dog crate?
Lots of dogs seem to get left in those while the owners are out.
Left in the cage while the owner went on holiday.

.
One of his family, who asked not to be named, said the dog had been carefully looked after before the attack.
They added: “Anyone being attacked by a dog is horrific but it has been blown well out of proportion.”
That’s just so scary and really sums up what these dogs are capable of. Sorry to hear that happened. I too have had the experience of being shouted at by an XL bully owner for the heinous crime of 'walking slightly further away'. Did wonders for my fear level. Not.I went into the pharmacy this morning, as i was browsing a man came in, mentioned to the woman behind the counter he was in a hurry because his dog was tied up outside. Naturally I turned to have a look and sure enough an XL Bully tied up outside on a very busy thoroughfare between a garage a pharmacy and a gp surgery amongst others. When I was finished I decided not to go outside until he had left. He totally copped what I was doing and gave me an earful about being prejudiced I wasn't in the humour and just replied I wasn't prejudiced just not stupid and have a sense of self preservation. No point to this rant really, they just make me so nervous and their owners always seem to be aggressive men. No point in saying I wish they'd be illegal here, we don't have a government.
Imagine telling a stranger minding her own business she was prejudiced because your idea of a pet is a man sized beast.
It's a terrifying thought isn't it. I was having a conversation over the weekend with a very experienced dog owner, who said she has never seen an XL bully in real life before. She's had staffies in the past, and I think was leaning towards 'owner not dog'. I just don't think I could get across to her the sheer size, power and intensity of them. That’s just so scary and really sums up what these dogs are capable of. If people don't know the background of the dog, do they just make it up?
I've said this before, I know people who bought two well-bred older dogs off reputable a breeder and claimed they 'rescued them' and that they were 'living in a pigsty', whilst still remaining very friendly with the breeders online. Made for a better sob story when their training was crap. The next one was 'the runt of the litter', 'nobody wanted', 'bought out of a car boot' (again, very well bred dog, mother was prone to matricide so only two survived, the other went on to be a fairly successful working police dog, they met breeder half way and picked her up at a service station. Again, never said any of this to the breeder's face.
