We've seen him pull through before, and I hope he can get through this as well!

It's devastating, he looks amazing. I hacked last night then schooled for 10 minutes afterwards and out came this fabulous big, loose, swingy trot that's so un Bog like.

12 hours later he's collapsed on the stable floor.

How, how can one horse have such bad luck.

I have everything crossed for both of you, poor you and Boggle have gone through so much lately that it makes life seem very unfair. I hope this is just a blip for both of you and that they find out what it is and he makes a quick recovery. I hope you are ok (all things considered), you have had an exhausting time of it.

Thanks. There’s a common theme here.. in a week I was meant to be on a (thankfully free, friend run the boat) dive trip!

I laughed to my friend yesterday and said yes it’ll be fun if I get to go and Bog doesn’t pull anything.

He came down with the last illness a week before my last dive trip…

Bizarre, totally bizarre. I have nursed this horse back and long reined him for hours around Colorado and done absolutely everything I can to make his recovery as easy as possible. Nothing has been spared or skipped or left unturned. How the heck has this even happened again. I think my shock is turning into anger, mostly I am just so desperately sad for my poor horse.

I think that sometimes too. I know that believers have their thoughts and feelings on the matter, but there have been times in life when things are just straight up cruel. I always try to learn from things, however terrible, but still.

This also brings forward why horses are a stressful hobby, at times. So much sh*t just goes wrong. For some more than others. I know that things can be catastrophic in other hobbies or sports, but if my race car blows up (and I'm fine), then I'm out $$$ and maybe some sentimental feelings toward the car, but it's no one else's life at stake, or no other being suffering. Ugh!

It's just so rotten for Bog and Michen. I dread reading these type of posts.

Bog is so keen for life though, if there is any horse that can overcome, it's him.

But you need to remember that you don't know what would have happened if he had remained in the UK. This is not your fault x
