Boggle- USA bound!

Thank you, all of you 🄰 I feel so, so lucky and pleased for my plucky little horse. I can’t believe I can look forward to him bouncing me out of the saddle in the not too distant future, I will never moan about him giving me a stitch ever again and if we ever do another dressage test he can do the whole damn thing in canter if he wants 🤣.

He’s been such an amazing horse and best friend for me over the years, I am glad there was something I could do for him when it counted.

Great to log on and read such a positive update.
Very happy for you, I hope you can finally relax more now and start to feel better yourself.
He certainly looks pretty pissed off in that photo doesn't he šŸ˜‚
Animals are pretty amazing aren't they, imagine if that was a human, we'd be laid up for months. A couple of weeks and he's like come on then, let's go.

Yes! That's the kind of post I want to read over breakfast on a Friday morning.
Re bored Boggle, you might not need it after the scan, but you can teach horses table top games to keep them occupied, like choosing the correct colour or shape card for a treat or finding the hidden treat under a series of cups. I've never tried but thought it sounded like a fun idea. Though if Boggle gets any more clever, he might start thinking of taking over the barn, the US and then the world.

I can imagine Bog playing a mean game of cards šŸ˜€

God that was emotional! The vet is amazed. His left lung is pristine, his right lung is 90% perfect. Just one patch which we have to watch for an abscess but it’s so much improved in such a short space of time.

His blood work is perfect, liver enzymes completely normal too for the first time since April.

His neck she thinks she can see the tiniest bit of arthritis but it’ll need to be reviewed by a radiographer to be sure. But totally minor if it is something.

He is unbelievable, they couldn’t believe how good he looked already. I didn’t realise quite how invested they all were but there was tons of hugs all around and some watery eyes!

She thinks if we can avoid an abscess that I may, just may, have a totally normal horse.

great news.

could his neck be sore from injections etc., ?

could you try some massage, stretches.

i know i am not a horse, but, had a tight neck shoulders thing recently, used a hand held massager on it and felt good since.

I wouldn't want to play him at poker!

M I do hope you can get the little b****r out hand walking to calm him down a bit!

He’s not stressy or wound up, he just seems bored already and making stuff up to do like messing with the gate and fencing. And his temporary new turnout overlooks the barn and activities whereas his other one was sort of away from it all. So he’s busy surveying everything that goes on. I wish he could have a friend but yet again he already ruined his chance of that.

I’m hand grazing him plenty so he walks around a fair bit for that.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks I could start doing some in hand poles or something to help him gain back a little muscle.

Yep I’m doing both! And have chiro booked for him. Not that I really believe in chiro tbh, but physios here don’t exist. ā€œBodyworkersā€ do with no qualifications but I’m yet to find one I think much of.
