Another one for sale because owner can no longer ride but looking for a swap!

  • 4 year old ISH filly, stands around 16-16.1hh. I bought [..] last year as an unbroken project. Since then she has been backed, lightly hacked out and turned away. Unfortunately I cannot continue her education due to pregnancy. [...]will make a super little ridden mare or broodmare but will need restarting.

Unfortunately I did buy [...] with a visible injury to her leg. This doesn't appear to be causing her any lameness at the moment but it has blown out in to what could potentially just be proud flesh or a sarcoid. For that reason she will be sold from the field. Ideal breeding stock. Will consider swap for 14.2-15hh cob type / Arab.

I can kind of understand that one. It's one thing riding an established horse when pregnant, totally different a green youngster.

Just seen a horse pop up on FB for companion/ brood mare - she’s “free to a good home” ! Obviously she would also be free to someone pretending to be good home and end up with a bin end dealer. Poor girl. I hope they do their homework on any potential homes so she has some chance of doing ok. Anyone on here want a free horse? 😁

Not on FB, but there is an ad in the current issue of H&H for two 21yo shetland stallions, being sold for £100, to be sold together or seperately. Sounds like the owner may have fallen on hard times, but I hope they manage to find a good home together. If I owned land I'd be seriously tempted to take them on as pets.

Looking for $500 and under horses.

Don't send me starved junk. I'm not interested. Don't send me anything under 2. I'm not interested.

I want over 14 hands. I want half way pretty. At least a good build. Now before y'all call me crazy and say it doesn't exist. It does......

I want one you can't catch. I want one that's already thrown 26 people that nobody can ride. I want the biters. The kickers. All the crazies.

And no I'm not killing them. I'm gonna ride them!!! Just check us out for reassurance. We love the projects!!!

- Pic attached is of them is rearing while yanking mouth.

No way people do this?
Some people just have no class😄

"Would there be anyone interested in having this boy on loan? He's 3 ready to back and go have some fun, I'm to big and I don't want to pay to get him backed and then have no rider for him,he was started before I had him, [...] I was going to eventually break him to drive but my road is just to dangerous for that all I ask is he be insured and stay localish will be on a loan contract, if you think he would be suitable please drop me a message, serious enquires only and experience with youngsters and education a must"

Would you like to loan my unbacked 3yo, which was somehow previously backed so likely to be totally screwed up, because I'm too tight to pay someone to do it?

Quoting’s not working for me so I’ve copied pasted it DF. I can’t quite decide about this one. On the one hand it sounds like she just wants him backed for nothing but on the other, at least she’s honest about it and it doesn’t sound like she’d take him back as as soon as he’s riding away. There’s a photo of him and he looks a nice useful sort so I suppose he could be a fun project for someone small and experienced.

She looked quite thin in the photos accompanying the advert too.

I bought a 4yo stallion that had been purchased as a 6 month old as a pet for a disabled boy and kept in the back yard of a terraced house! He was such a great gentle boy, I had him more than 20 years, but obviously ffs!

Rescue might be a nice idea for them... they don't mention anything about riding tbf

Surely a horse that can do all of the above would not be for sale at £1,000. ‘
Might be searching for the impossible but looking for something below 10 0 0 or 15 0] o with tack.

Must be broken, i don't mind a project but nothing malicious that's going to end up nearly murdering me every time i mount it, i would also prefer a gelding as i feel me and a mare would have the same attitude c

Not too bothered about height but ideally between

14.2-16.2,something that i will last on.

Aged between 6-15 and im not fussed on breeds either as i won't just select a horse on its breed, whether it's a cob type or a tb

The ideal horse should be able to put its hoof to anything including hacking and competitive work such as showjumping, dressage and possibly cross country. Pref tack included’.

Lovely black cob mare. 4 white socks and white blaze. Ride and drive. Good in all traffic. Farrier. Loading. Very easy pony.

I've had two horses with a harmless bursa like that photo seems to show, and I did have to explain, even to some horse people, that it was just a bit of water in a pocket.
Agree with this. Had an eventer that had two big knees due to impact injury xc. Went 3* with no issue just looks alarming.

That cannot be enjoyable for the horses
100% im not keen on it, but it is interesting.. they couldve done what they did with sodashi - made a realistic 'robot' version, it looked really cool but god it looks a bit depressing for the horses in there
