"No health issues, does wind suck but what he does in his own time is nothing that worry’s me."

?????

A friend of mine bought a horse that windsucked. She was soon doing so on the fence posts…and now the whole fence of any field she has been in is wobbly and damaged. Definitely should be something that worries people!

I would class that as crib-biting not windsucking. Windsucking is annoying, crib-biting is damaging.

I've seen several share ads on Facebook recently with people looking for experienced adult sharers, max weight 8.5st. Can't say I know many adults under 8.5st... Perhaps not cheeky but certainly baffling! How many takers can they really expect who meet that criteria?

Particularly baffling when the horse is quite heavy or tall. 8.5st limit on a 15h heavy cob?

I get ill ALL the time below 9 stone. I'm usually about 9 stone 2, 5ft4 and a size 8. You'd have to be a teenager or very small to be 8.5 stone, because horse people carry muscle and their weight can be deceptive. My very skinny friend, who's the same height as me, is 9 and a half stone because she works out as well as riding.

I'm extremely skinny and I'm 9 and a half stone. Are they going to weigh people? Madness

I'm 5'6 and 9 stone can sometimes be a bit below or over but I'm quite small built and at 52 I'm probably at my lightest weight 😆

At other times it's just too annoying to bother with the advert ..

"Hi I’m looking on behave of a friend for a horse 14.2-16.2 short loan with view to buy something that’s been there and done it no big budget and prefers ride and drive no thoroughbred please"

Or they just make you feel out of breath..

" Has the sweetest temperament loads and is good for the farrier will come when called and can be lead by children doesn’t have a nasty bone in her body loves a free jump around the arena and absolutely loves going on walks isn’t fazed by anything really isn’t spooky has had saddle pads thrown on her and plastic bags waved around her and doesn’t bat an eyelid. "

One near me looking for sharer for 7 year old gelding that has been out of work due to owners injury. Person needs to be experienced in long reining & not to be expecting any riding for a while.

Financial contribution to livery/farrier/feed required.

Umm yes i’ll bring your horse back into work for you and pay you for the privilege

I'm sat here wondering if the horse possibly caused the owner's current injury, perhaps it even happened when they tried to long rein their horse...

OK, they might just be lucky enough to find a sharer to pamper the horse and maybe learn to long rein, but a financial contribution as well? It's mad!

I’m looking for a horse to LOAN to do qualifiers for Children on horses(COH) and, if qualified to compete the same horse in the RDS 🤞.
The horse will need to be SJI measured & proven clear record to 1.10 …at least , on SJI.
The horse should be a very easy ride for a 14yr old girl with the skill to do it with the right horse. A brave , kind forgiving horse would be ideal.
Light, sensitive, slim and brave rider.
Maybe ….there could be an option for short term (season swap) with classy blood Connemara jumping pony.
**I’m aware it’s a long shot**
I won’t be taking on anyone’s young green horse (we wouldn’t have the experience for that) or any mad yoke’s ……and a period of trying would be necessary to assess suitability of horse with rider. It might suit someone who doesn’t want to part with their horse, or is waiting for the next jockey to come of age and take it on.

A unicorn for free please..if they’re going I’d like one too

Well that went as one would expect. Horse is now being advertised on DD by a notoriously dodgy dealer, in an ad full of lies.

Shame on everyone involved. Poor horse.

I must have missed something, what is wrong/happened with the horse?

Previously advertised on horsequest as follows:

  • Irish Sports Horse
  • Dun
  • Mare
  • 5 years
  • 15.3 hands
Lovely mare with good conformation.

Really sadly for sale as bought for myself to event but after breaking her in she does not enjoy being ridden.

If I had the time and money I would get her fully investigated by a vet but unfortunately I don’t, so she is sold as a broodmare or as a project for someone else to investigate.

The phone no. where the horse was being advertised on horsequest from is a pro breakers yard https://www.younghorsespecialists.co.uk/contact who have failed to back the horse safely. Now being advertised on DD as having been previously easy to break when in fact an experience specialist pro yard failed to break her at all and she should have a proper vet work up not be on the dodgy dealer merry go round.

The irony of KT posting on a dodgy dealer page saying that she can't get over why she is so hated these days, despite being a reformed character.. and she is still doing it, and not even well if the other ad is still accessible! I feel like I need to post this somewhere on FB to warn any prospective buyers, but there's no place to guarantee it being seen.

It may or may not have been done already on the same page she decided to reform herself….a friend may or may not have seen the mare and sent it to me to ask if I like it and I had just seen this post on here….
