Correct spelling
With posts like Observer's I tend to assume that it's something they feel strongly about. So when they see the topic on here it, it's a trigger to sign and post.

I didn't know any of the details about Nairn pts horses herself or that she's been reported by other. I started following her after seeing her "promoted" on here and me, who knows nothing, thought what she was sharing wasn't factual, for want of a better word.

She didn't answer questions when asked about her training/qualifications and didn't react well to being questioned (by others on fb comments, not me).

I put her in the same category as the liar and falsifier of qualifications Celeste/travelling horse witch.

I really wish people would stop "promoting" these people as resources when they are unqualified liars.
Correct spelling for Epona Vet she can be contacted on her FB she was one of the vets who fronted Nairn on her F Book page Contact her if you have any queries

Then I would advise you to not avail of her services.
It’s fair enough to warn others who might get sucked into the hype rather than keeping it to yourself, though.

Never heard of the woman til she was mentioned on here by someone who seemed to think that Nairn’s views have merit.

Which they absolutely do not, no merit at all. Another with all the talk but cannot do the walk, whatsoever.

There’s warning, and then there’s downright bitchiness and nastiness. If the woman’s a fraud then most sensible people can figure it out without barely disguised tittle tattle.

Most sensible people Cortez, but as we know, these days there are many out there who really dont have much experience, so believe what they hear from someone they think of as a professional.

Well, good. Challenges should be made by professional people. What’s your involvement?

I wondered about this. Difficult position for Annabelle to be in, but I really wouldn’t want any association with that family, particularly if I was trying to make a name for myself in the sport.
She is dating his son I believe so very awkward. I expect she probably has PR expects on hand on how to advise her to handle the situation.

This. There are a loads of people offering services of one kind or another (training, bodywork, biomechanics, feet, teeth and everything in between) in the horse world and not everyone can spot the difference between credible professionals, credible NON-professionals (excellent trainers for example and barefoot rehab folk might be another example), well-meaning but misguided folk who learn a little in an area like biomechanics, and assume that means they know far more than they do, and con artists on the make. No idea which Nairns fits in. Celeste is the latter as far as I am concerned. Totally unprofessional grifter. I am grateful to be warned off folk like that. I am always looking for new ways to help my horses and get better myself, always looking for marginals gains. And I am very open minded so some of the ways I work comes from people without formal quaifications. LIke Joe Midgley.

I have become better at assessing credibility - in fact there was a thread about how people do assess credibility, with very mixed views expressed, though I can't find it now. But I have been duped in the past.

I think calling BS out is always valuable. If the criticism is unwarranted, then the issue can be debated. The likes of Celeste don't debate/educate/persaude. She just sets her flying monkeys or 'lovelies' on to dissenters or blocks them. No idea if Nairns is the same, but it sounds like it!

Her Instagram account has been very quiet this week. Usually there is a daily beautifully shot photo or two (for me to drool over wading through ankle deep mud)

From what I can see, she is in what seems to be a serious relationship with the son, has bought several horses from Helgstrand and models for the Helgstrand jewellry line. She has been at the yard on many occasions.

So yes, awkward at the very least.

I personally think who you associate with says a lot about what you consider okay. There are local trainers and yard owners I’d never dream of using because I Know full well they are hard on horses. I just couldn’t/wouldn’t go there. It’s simply wrong.

I know a super talented teen who got a job as a working pupil with one such trainer on an Eventing yard. She lasted a week then walked when she realised how they treated horses. She is now on another brilliant eventing yard. People can choose to say ‘no, I refuse to go along with this. I refuse to excuse or normalise this’.

So if AP is neck deep in with the Helgstrands she should be held accountable for that. It’s not ‘awkward’ - she’s complicit.

Nairn fits in with Celeste She has a huge following on FB

And this is what Nairn does when she is confronted with the truth She goes into victim mode, and then garners sympathy from her flying monkeys' brigade She does this when confronted by Epona Vet and she calls the vet "mad ", puts the flying monkeyson to her and proceeds to block Nairn has been a rehomer and traded in dodgy horses Here are some pictures of a13 years Warm Blood she had slaughtered for dog meat and later ended up in her bone collection He was an experienced dressage horse who was not sound One could tell that Shw knew he was not sound She got him cheap and thought he would take her to the next Olympics He was an obese horse she was riding him on hard ground in an unfitted saddle That was pointed out to her she buys a new saddle fitted Wow saddle And still she was unable to find him In other words, she did not the experience to ride a horse like Martini She used cruel bits, contraptions and some cruel training routines photographic shows You can tell he is in pain She tried to ride this poor old horse in a dressage competition and ended up with a score of 44 lol ( after four months of owning him )After that she tried to sell him on FB for a $1000 and later he was slaughtered Note the cruel constraptions and bits she was using on this poor old horse who deserved a retirement There is more photographic evidence she used to call herself a dressage coach and charge 70.00 nz per houur and put standard breds in dressage compettions and on sell them PLEASE NOTE IF ANYONE FINDS POST OFFENSIVE PLEASE VOTE THEM OFF WITH NO MALICE

Many of the statements seem verifiable, and very worrying.
.
As someone reasonably local to the person in question, although I don't know all the ins and outs, I can say she has a poor reputation amongst local horse people and I've seen personally the care she has given some horses (poor foot care/paddock maintenance/overcrowding/hoarding).

What was that when the vet nurse called Liz who reported her? her ( I remember the neglected skinny horses she had in a rented paddock?) Or was this another incident? When she had the trekking business at Hamner Springs A child got seriously injured She never had her staff members trained in first aid and the horses were uncontrollable The business was closed down by the authorities and the person in question ran to another town and remained silent for the dust to settle Those of us who live in Canterbury know what she has done in the past Her attitude when interviewed by the incident was appalling
