If it has always been used there is something known as “prescriptive easement” google it…. It means that this right of way over another persons land (you don’t have to know who’s land it is) is established as “ it has always been that way” . I’d put a unilateral notice on the land registry site to that avail…. thus sticking it on the official record…

The land register must show who it is registered to. Could a solicitor issue a letter to the council to get her to remove the gates (could they be removed when she is out? == check for cameras) if she is physical towards you when riding on land she does not own it needs videoing and presenting to the police as well as reporting to them at the time. More local papers local radio and local TV. Is there a local pony /riding club that can do mass rides on it with local papers radio and TV present.what is your parish council doing about it?
Not all land is reistered with the land registery there is only about 75% so far the land registery expects to have a full registery by 2030

RE the petition website, I had to temporarily turn off my adblocker before the page would show correctly. Signed.

RE old maps; this site gives a "side by side" view of new and old UK maps and is really fascinating to play about with. From National Library of Scotland.

I got that but

I got the 0 have signed then a couple of minutes later it upgraded itself. We have lousy broadband here so well used to internet being laggy. change.org was working but slow yesterday when I signed.

My internets ok, runs at 32 Mbps which isn't bad for rural and everything else is working fine, just don't know why it won't work but I will try again.
Turned off Brave shield and ad blocker and it worked.

Yes. You can see crab cottage. And the old road running in front of the house. And the other circle is the old shepherds house that burnt down yonks ago. It’s a long lane. And now blocked. 23824AEF-D1C5-4CE6-8CEA-D1EF452489D7.jpeg

Suffolk Free Press coming Wednesday to take photos of us on horse back. They are doing the photos on the main road. They won’t go near the house. Shame .. as she would have come flying out like a troll under the bridge

If she can block it with gates, you can park across the gates so that she can't get out until she relents. Anyone got an old truck they're not using?
Unfortunately not. In front of her house is the old road. She’s grabbed some of that lane and put gates up to stop you going down. But doesn’t interfere with her driving other way to main road. If that makes sense x

Please take up the very kind offer from @PeterNatt he is very knowledgeable about this sort of thing and will be able to put you in touch with the right people at the BHS.

Please contact the Ramblers and Cycling Groups as they will be able to lend their weight to the campaign.

You MUST make sure that DMMO has been made and that a formal report of an obstruction has been made to the local authority responsible for rights of way (probably the county council) using their official reporting system.

Yes. DMMO was made last year. Think council sitting in October this year to discuss. I’ll ask Laura who else she has contacted. I know shes been on the case for months. Don’t think the BHS have been involved. I’m not a member. Yes please Peter, We would appreciate any advice and help x

Interesting that she "100%" agrees with a Cornard Residents Assocn report that opposes development because, among other reasons, the local open space is important to walkers!

Lol. She RUNS the cornard residents association. Anyone that comments on the Facebook page about the gate saga, gets kicked off.
